Solid Yorkshire values
Needs a décor uplift
checked in late friday evening as this hotel was a half way point to our final destination. Food in restaurant was lovely, room was superb and breakfast was excellent. A very comfortable stay
Nice old building.
Took to long to serve evening meal.
I was visiting my mother in the Yorkshire Clinic which is next door. Nice view from the room across the fields. Comfy bed.
If you come you need to bring supplies as it is a good half an hour walk to a shop.
All three of the reception staff were clearly well trained, this showed in their professionalism and courtesy. Nothing was any bother to them. Makes for a welcome change in todays bad mannered society.
Not having fridge in room.
location, and staff
The view over a pleasant field to the moors, in a peaceful part of the hotel, which was what I asked for. (didn't have any meals there)
The mattress and the shower pressure Friendly service. Attentive reception / front of house
The flat screen tv (1990's Model). Room service very poor. Room size poor for price. Standard of bathroom and furniture for the price. Would have excepted lower standards if the room was half the price that we paid.
Not a lot
London price for a beer at the bar, room no AC only a window so when open unable to sleep for the traffic passing by all night; when shut unable to sleep the air vents had tape over them. the bath room was dirty and had lights out, I think because it was just one night I was put in a store room with a bed.
Staff, breakfast, comfy beds, good sized room
Decor, old carpets, old curtains, wallpaper bubbling in communal areas. Dining room needs a makeover
Car parking always easy to park. Hotel situated the right side of city, easy to travel around the tourist places of interest.
The cleaning needs to be improved in the main dining area, I use this hotel on a regular basis and my last visit I noticed chairs need cleaning or replaced, wood window ledges looked like never cleaned, and also windows
Lovely room, and loved the 12 pm check out so we didn't have to rush.....
The tv didn't have many channels and the stand up lamp didn't work....
We enjoyed everything the food the area and the people at the hotel were amazing I couldn't fault it at all I thor enjoyed myself and came away relaxed and enthusiastic to continue our trip. We would definitely stay there again
Accessibility and good value
Our room was at the back so very noisy with the main road. Good value though
Food was nice and bed good size
The fact the pictures made it look like it was in the countryside yet it was an old house with modern wings attached . It needs a refurb and better pics to show the whole complex
The bed was large and comfortable. the En-suite was very nice and it was clean. the room was lovely
my husband struggles to walk but our room was miles from where we wanted to be and I had to ask to be moved. they gave us one which was no nearer. one of the staff went to check to see if there was anything nearer the venue and we got another room which was very near the lift. my husband needs a banister to hold on to going up or down steps and there wasn't one for him coming down so he had to come down them backwards!!
Helpful friendly staff from front desk to housekeeping. Food gorgeous & plentiful. Wonderful views.
Staff couldn't do enough for you from the breakfast hoist to reception. Shining star however was the barman who was attentive friendly and chatted to us all weekend. We missed him on Sunday when he was representing the hotel at a Mercure football tournament. Hope you won Mercure Bradford.
Rooms ready for a re decorate bit tired.
We're in a disabled room, found bathroom not up to usual standard because set up for disabled person.
I had requested when booking online for one of the newest rooms. They fulfilled this request. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was nice and comfortable.
Only 2 teabags per day.
Good value for money. Very comfortable bed. Helpful staff.
No information in room Very noisey central heating
Amazing bed, comfy and luxurious (upgrade room) huge room, space, easy tv and films to watch, massive bathroom, toiletries good, lovely robes. Bar and breakfast staff lovely!
Nothing major. The room was a bit dark - rooms on opposite side of corridor looked much brighter. Tea and coffee tricky to find as tucked away in box in cupboard!
Food ,staff, car parking, room facilities and cleansernes
Bed was too soft for me , but everyone is different.
Good nights sleep.
Infrastructure around the Bradford Area, thjoug hwas closer to Skipton then actually was. Breakfast an additional £10 per person for brasserie only.
Clean bed linen, comfortable bed & pillows.Bathroom had welcoming tolitries & clean white towels. Would gladly have stayed another night as breakfast was excellent & service was good.
