the staff were all friendly and helpful and the food was good.
our room was above a wedding reception, it would have been nice if we were informed of this on arrival, so we could have made the decision to stay or ask for a room change, it spoilt a very nice weekend and took the shine off the hotel.
friendlyness of staff
Good hot shower and a big room good sized grounds that lend themselves to a summer visit
Old fashioned presentation TV was not very clear in picture quality. Bed was a good size the mattress was comfortable but the pillows lacked comfort and dupport
HAD TO CHANGE ROOMS AS FIRST ONES TOTALLY UNSUITABLE, SECOND ROOMS QUITE GOOD
TIRED SHABBY ROOMS IN THE ATTIC, REALLY NOT SUITABLE FOR A FAMILY GROUP WITH YOUNG CHILDREN UP ALL THOSE FLIGHTS OF STAIRS. WE BOOKED THIS HOTEL ESPECIALLY AS IT WAS HALF TERM AND CHILDREN WOULD Have liked to use a pool. But it was closed
Rooms really good loads of space
Easy to find. Staff friendly and facilities good.
nice view family room
Amazing breakfast buffet, friendly staff.lovely location .
Wedding disco below our room ,. Kept awake by music.
The facilities and gym were great. The room was very big and comfortable.
Location is very good. The staff were keen to help and the room was very clean.
The beds are on rollers that move whenever you touch them which is awkward. The hotel restaurant service was very disorganised. We waited 20 mins for 2 glasses of juice. we were offered specials that were not available. We asked for some cheese for my son's pasta and eventually got it about 15 minutes later when the food was stone cold. And the food bill was not charged correctly to our room. The food itself was very nice just the dis-conjointed service that ruined it.
Staff on front desk were very helpful and welcoming throughout my stay.
Hotel looked a bit tired in some places, especially near the front desk.
Family room was incredibly spacious, more like a suite. Superb leisure facilities.
Staff were not particularly welcoming or friendly. Hotel looks a bit tired.
Hotel was imaculate. Staff very helpfull and freindly. Room we stayed in was wonderfull. Time spent there that good I booked up again the day after we came back!
The room was nice and quiet but I did not like the fact that the taps were not marked hot and cold and the shower took a bit of working out.
I was supposed to pay on departure but found that my card had already been charged the previous evening. I wished to pay with another card but this was not now possible.
Very clean and well presented facilities
Double bed made of two singles pushed together, very uncomfortable!
Bed room was a good size, quite room. The breakfast buffy was very good, lots of choice and well presented. Hotel in a nice location.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Evening meal and breakfast were both very good.
The lounge area had big windows but no curtains so appeared very stark and cold. The staff did maintain the log fire and we were fortunate to get close to it.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food and service was excellent.
Our room No 7 was of a very poor and dated standard . It clearly needed to be modernised and decorated. and certainly was nothing like the pictures advertised on the Booking.com web site.
The staff were very professional and friendly and did their best to accommodate our needs when we requested a room move. An asset to the organisation. The breakfast and facilities were very good
We had a call prior to arrival to advise there were party nights on so there would be loud music and we could stay in the old part if we didnt want the noise. Advised this would be on the 2nd floor which seemed ok but when we arrived there was no lift and the room was in the attic - dark gloomy and in need of modernisation and would rank as a 2* accommodation....Totally impractical for a family with 2 small children. We finally requested a move and went to the new part where the rooms were great and what we would expect from a 4 * hotel and the noise from the music was not so bad.
Staff friendly and polite hotel clean
I thought the hotel was cold even though the heating was on. Probably it's because it is an old building
Reception lady failed to add my le club points having promised to do so
Reception and common parts and rooms were very nice and well decorated. Bar staff were helpful and all staff v friendly.
Bathroom was not cleaned well. Gym and Health club very tired looking and bizarre layout. No cashpoint anywhere and some bits of the hotel don't take cards.
Food and friendly staff
Restaurant service for dinner and breakfast a little slow
The room was very good The location was good for visiting Stourbridge away from the built up area. Fire alarm activated Tues 4th Nov and the staff and organisation to take guests away from the main building was very good. Good drill!
Staff at Breakfast and Bar were very good. Good location Gym and pool were good
Beds could be better quality Room was cold Decor dated Could be much better
