Menzies Stourport Manor is a refurbished country house with 23 acres of beautiful grounds. There is a swimming pool, an outdoor tennis court, free Wi-Fi, and a restaurant with buffet breakfast.
Score from 203 reviews Very good
Just a 5-minute walk from central Kidderminster, the hotel is set on highway A456, within easy reach of many local attractions, including West Midlands Safari Park and Severn Valley Railroad.

Very clean and well presented facilities
Double bed made of two singles pushed together, very uncomfortable!
Bed room was a good size, quite room. The breakfast buffy was very good, lots of choice and well presented. Hotel in a nice location.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Evening meal and breakfast were both very good.
The lounge area had big windows but no curtains so appeared very stark and cold. The staff did maintain the log fire and we were fortunate to get close to it.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food and service was excellent.
Our room No 7 was of a very poor and dated standard . It clearly needed to be modernised and decorated. and certainly was nothing like the pictures advertised on the Booking.com web site.
The staff were very professional and friendly and did their best to accommodate our needs when we requested a room move. An asset to the organisation. The breakfast and facilities were very good
We had a call prior to arrival to advise there were party nights on so there would be loud music and we could stay in the old part if we didnt want the noise. Advised this would be on the 2nd floor which seemed ok but when we arrived there was no lift and the room was in the attic - dark gloomy and in need of modernisation and would rank as a 2* accommodation....Totally impractical for a family with 2 small children. We finally requested a move and went to the new part where the rooms were great and what we would expect from a 4 * hotel and the noise from the music was not so bad.
Staff friendly and polite hotel clean
I thought the hotel was cold even though the heating was on. Probably it's because it is an old building
Reception lady failed to add my le club points having promised to do so
Reception and common parts and rooms were very nice and well decorated. Bar staff were helpful and all staff v friendly.
Bathroom was not cleaned well. Gym and Health club very tired looking and bizarre layout. No cashpoint anywhere and some bits of the hotel don't take cards.
Food and friendly staff
Restaurant service for dinner and breakfast a little slow
The room was very good The location was good for visiting Stourbridge away from the built up area. Fire alarm activated Tues 4th Nov and the staff and organisation to take guests away from the main building was very good. Good drill!
Staff at Breakfast and Bar were very good. Good location Gym and pool were good
Beds could be better quality Room was cold Decor dated Could be much better
Not much: breakfast was good and the staff there helpful.
Arriving late (2330), I found noone at Reception. The telephone number given was not answered 5 or 6 times. Eventually some disagreeable people appeared and I belueve gave me an improperly validated card which failed to open my room door the next night. Finally I was kept from going to bed on the Saturday night by very loud "music" throughout the hotel. What is the prime purpose of an hotel - not noisy wedding parties I would hope.
The beds and pillows were excellent - great facilities
Breakfast was a bit expensive and increased in price if not pre ordered the evening before
Staff were excellent, especially Leah on reception for whom nothing was too much trouble.
Too many stairs. We originally had an extremely comfortable and spacious room in the old part of the hotel which we sadly had to change as the stairs were an issue, too many and far too steep. We found the restaurant menu far too limited not much that included fresh veg etc, the usual fish and chips, burgers or pasta dishes. We ate out of the hotel after 1st night.
Nice hotel in a good location, less than 5 mins to both Bewdley and West Midland Safari Park. The building seems to be an old country house with loads of character and period features which I liked. I visited with my two daughters aged 7 & 1 for an October half term mini-break and it did fit the bill well with lots of things to do close by and an onsite pool. Our room was a good size with a double, a single and a travel cot (provided by the hotel along with a lovely farmyard cot quilt). All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, no complaints. The breakfast staff (Karen in particular) were exceptionally nice. The pool is in a separate leisure complex in the building across the car park. There is a 25m pool and a small splash pool for the little ones which was nice and warm.
There is just a general feeling that the hotel needs a jolly good spruce up. There is chipped paintwork *everywhere* and our bathroom had lots of black mold between the tiles (room 21) and the disabled toilet/babychange in the reception area had the most peculiar smell. Such a real shame about these negatives because other than that its a lovely place.
Leaving the hotel on Sunday morning to return home.
Our poorly located room. The "small" scruffy shower room - which is probably the worst we have ever encountered in any boarding house/hotel we have ever stayed in. The position of room 8 up three flights of steep stairs. The lack of wardrobe space - there was a small sort of cupboard so as we had evening wear it was not appropriate. No coat hangers at all. The half empty glass of red wine left in our room on arrival. etc etc etc etc
Very large swimming pool and location for Seven Valley Railway
Nothing, all good
size and comfort of rooms. Excellent leisure facilities. Friendly and helpful staff
Really pleased with the hotel as it provided everything we could possibly want with polite and efficient staff
Unfortunately a wedding was also at the hotel the same time as us and although this did not detract from any facility we found the noise during the night made it difficult for us to sleep.
Lovely grounds.. Staff friendly and provided milk for our toddlers
Drinks over priced..you wouldn't pay that in Birmingham.. No lifts and limited ramps for pushchairs or wheelchair users..
Nice room, plenty of parking.
Hotel was very cold, no heating in main areas but able to control ambience in the room ok. Couldn't enjoy breakfast because food went cold very quickly and felt uncomfortable.
The grounds are beautiful and the hotel is very impressive. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
The only problem was that on Saturday night there was a party and the noise was deafening until it was turned down at midnight. The rooms were vibrating with the noise.
Excellent rooms comfortable beds excellent breakfast and a lovely pool especially the toddlers pool They really enjoyed themselves We would definitely book again.
I have to be honest I have worked in customer service for years and staff at the Mecure was brilliant. They were friendly, extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for you - thank you. Even my 7 year old said how nice they were.
Large, clean room. Hotel is situated very well, close to all places we wanted to visit.
The bed was a bit lumpy. The receptionist did not ask us how we enjoyed our stay, upon leaving. Pity, there are always things to improve....
