Score from 197 reviews Very good
Very large swimming pool and location for Seven Valley Railway
Nothing, all good
size and comfort of rooms. Excellent leisure facilities. Friendly and helpful staff
Really pleased with the hotel as it provided everything we could possibly want with polite and efficient staff
Unfortunately a wedding was also at the hotel the same time as us and although this did not detract from any facility we found the noise during the night made it difficult for us to sleep.
Lovely grounds.. Staff friendly and provided milk for our toddlers
Drinks over priced..you wouldn't pay that in Birmingham.. No lifts and limited ramps for pushchairs or wheelchair users..
Nice room, plenty of parking.
Hotel was very cold, no heating in main areas but able to control ambience in the room ok. Couldn't enjoy breakfast because food went cold very quickly and felt uncomfortable.
The grounds are beautiful and the hotel is very impressive. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
The only problem was that on Saturday night there was a party and the noise was deafening until it was turned down at midnight. The rooms were vibrating with the noise.
Excellent rooms comfortable beds excellent breakfast and a lovely pool especially the toddlers pool They really enjoyed themselves We would definitely book again.
I have to be honest I have worked in customer service for years and staff at the Mecure was brilliant. They were friendly, extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for you - thank you. Even my 7 year old said how nice they were.
Large, clean room. Hotel is situated very well, close to all places we wanted to visit.
The bed was a bit lumpy. The receptionist did not ask us how we enjoyed our stay, upon leaving. Pity, there are always things to improve....
Location - Room - Food
The sign for disabled access to Reception is half covered and not big enough. No lifts in the hotel
Food was excellent and staff very helpful and courteous.
The room I stayed in was in the old part of the hotel and although it didn't affect my comfort on August, the sash windows were very draughty so would be cold in winter.
Location fab......leisure centre good.....nice dining room....bedroom good size.....comfy bed
Stayed with dancing group choice of main course and sweets very restricted.....
Staff, excellent Food Location - grounds very relaxing as was the lounge/dining area.
Very limited information in room although there were info leaflets available in a corner of reception. Lay out of room a bit too quirky for my liking - wc & shower together, handbasin on other side of room. Windows in very poor condition, very grubby. Tea/coffee making equipment hidden in chest of drawers!
Staff were friendly.
Staff were inexperienced - batman couldn't pour a pint, for example.
Location and staff were great,
Price of drinks and food way to high for the hotel and location , nearly London prices, no air con in any rooms , to hot well at wedding reception
Excellent food also location
Our room, it was in the what we would call the attic, lots of stairs to climb. Extremely hot with little air circulation, not good for a decent nights sleep. We would stay there again but ask for a lower room
Very pleased with all the aspects of our stay at the Mercure Kidderminster Hotel. Our room ( No 24) was bright, modern and spacious. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We also visited the swimming pool and we're very surprised at how big it was. Would have liked to stay longer. Would certainly hope to return sometime in the future and would recommend to family and friends.
Very poor service in bar
The breakfast was excellent
Wi-fi was a bit slow
The staff were excellent
Staff were very friendly and helpful, grounds were lovely and super close to West Midlands Safari Park
we had a lovely time. I would like to stay again :)
We held our Son's wedding here this weekend. The events manager Tim Wasko was excellent, a huge support for us all and made sure the celebration went smoothly. All of the staff worked very hard and efficiently. The food was delicious. The hotel is in 22 acres of beautiful countryside. All in all a very happy customer.
We were impressed by Leanne who rang around other hotels to try to get us a ground floor room (which we had requested due to my disability when booking through Booking.com - but they failed to pass that information on). There was nothing available, so we were housed on the first floor, but we were moved to the ground floor the next day (even though we only had one more night) All the staff were very helpful.
Having to use the stair lift!! It is very antiquated & I felt very undignified having to use it. Surely in this day & age an elevator should be available? I appreciate the age of the building, but we have stayed in similar hotels and lifts have been available.
Very comfy bed, breakfast was delicious and had lots of choice but was quite expensive on top of room rate. Good to be able to use swimming pool etc.
Coffee machine didn't work and staff member didn't know how to use it. Bathroom could have been cleaned more thoroughly and we had to ask for hand towels. No air conditioning but fan was provided when requested. Bar in lounge was unmanned late at night (barman went home) until someone went to help themselves!!
