Very bad rooms old and used, reception was to busy all caused by the bar, to much attention on wedding and non on guest, no help with luggage no one showing you to your room which was very difficult to find. Passage ways were blocked with cleaning and bedding and causing a hazard to all. Bed very smelly and obviously old and used.smoking around the front door was heavily polluting the bar and reception
Nice to have 2 arm chairs in the room Very comfortable large bed Appreciated the bottled water and supplied tea and coffee. Good location. Very attentive staff in dining room.
Room very dark where the kettle lives. Needs a light fitting. Fridge didn't really work well and ran very hot. Minor problems with the 'key' card
Very little hot water available for a nice shower. Breakfast quality. Toast arrives first and by the time you get the fried breakfast, the toast had gone cold. Also the fried breakfast is not hot enough so gets cold very quickly. Rubbery bacon.
This is a really well situated hotel if you are going to Tatton Park garden show. We travel from Scotland and have stayed here twice.
Beautiful grounds and great location for a visit to cheshire and the lovely locations e.g. knutsford, arley gardens tatton park Dunham Massey etc
Friendly and professional and a willingness to help.Good menue and wine list.
The Sandringham Suite - the hotel lights remained on until the rearly hours making sleep difficult. The bathroom door fails to close and the shower taps were loose and ineffective so the watyer was either hot or cold.
friendly and helpful staff Room good enough ..a little dark food was awesome!!! excellant value for money Garden would benifit from some attention.
All good and very pleased with service.
Excellent food for the Evening Meal. Very pleasent grounds and well kept.
Shower leaked all over bathroom poor condition
All round a good hotel. Staff helpful and friendly.
Bedroom lighting poor ample lights but wattage poor.
Comfortable large rooms Good breakfast Quiet
Spacious quiet bedroom. Staff very helpful. Good breakfast.
Food and Service was ridiculous Overcharge for what it is No staff seem to want to be quicker than a snail had to sit pretty much on another families knee in the cramped dining rm no room brochure/info
Staff and setting plus overall ambience
Ongoing decoration (although receptionist did apologise in advance). Quality of the food.
We had an executive room which was of a good size and well stocked. The staff were mostly very friendly and helpful although one or two were a little brusque and lacking in hotel information.
There was a wedding at the hotel on the day we stayed so the bar area was fully occupied until 4.30pm and again later in the evening when the wedding room was being rearranged. There was another sitting room where we could sit although we had to request tea twice before it arrived. I had advised the hotel of my wife's intolerance to wheat, eggs and dairy products but there was little evidence of any help in this area apart from the soya milk we brought ourselves. This hotel is very much a wedding venue and other guests seem to be overlooked at times.
Beautiful place, lovely rooms, generous portion sizes bar meals
spa bath and extractor fan in bedroom were very noisy
Convenient for airport. Bar food very good. Excellent reception staff.
We stayed as our friends had their wedding reception at The Mere. Food best wedding breakfast we have had, day and night staff were polite and helpful.
Friendly, clean, very quiet and comfortable. Staff were very helpful when I asked to be moved to a quiter room, as first room I had was near the boiler room and very noisy, and also had no view. My second room was perfect, with trees and gardens from the window, and very quiet.
Lighting was very poor for reading! No overhead lighting in the rooms, and I had to take the shades off the bedside lights for my stay to give me enough light to read .
Hotel and bedrooms were very comfortable. Lots of space and we enjoyed the stay
The shower was faulty and almost flooded the bathroom as the head would not stay on its hook- which wasn't good.
Staff, atmosphere, service
large, well-appointed room with two armchairs, well away from the noise of the wedding in the function room breakfast service and quality excellent beautifully situated for the area - in quiet countryside but convenient for motorway links
decor perhaps a bit tired (though perfectly clean and not marked or stained) bedside tables needed to be slightly bigger maybe, given that one was half taken up with the (oldish) telephone
