Large comfy bedroom suite, excellent staff and good food in the restaurant and at breakfast There was a wedding on the same evening and as the hotel was quite small, I did feel like we were gatecrashing the wedding slightly. Would have been good to be informed in advance that this was the case as it was a little awkward

Easy location for business travellers. Large room with good bath and shower. Vegetables were cold when served so meal was only average, even when sent back. Bread wasn't served until I asked, then no gluten free rolls available. One half of the mattress was very lumpy and had to be turned over by us.

All the roms are different and well equiped. Bath robes in the wardrobe is a nice touch. The breakfast is absolutely excellent and well priced. Do not change a thing. Nothing really, but it would be nice if there was a gym.

I thought this hotel was great value for money. Lovely big room with nice bed and bathroom. The breakfast was absolutely excellent. Must be nice in the spring and summer with the gardens. I will be back (have already reserved actually) and highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful The hotel was full with Christmas party guest and was very noisy. Also, the breakfast was very poor and on the second morning we opted for the in room biscuits and coffee. Given the cost of this hotel we expected much better

It is among the best hotels in UK. Staffs were helping. Hotel is situated in a picturesque area. There is a beautiful Lake besides the hotel. A nice place for leisure and enjoying nature. Location. There is no public transport to or from hotel. Taxis are more expensive than that in London. One must have his/her own car.

Friendly atmosphere good food Unfortunately when we stayed there was a chef on sick leave and we had to wait an inordinate amount of time for our meal. We were however compensated financially.

The restaurant was really lovely and the quality of the food was absolutely outstanding. I eat in many smart restaurants throughout the country with my job and I would put the food in one of the highest category. The bathroom was very bright and clean. The Gardens were lovely and well kept. I would have preferred a King size bed - it is a very long time since we have slept in a double. My one main criticism was that the duvet was very poor quality. Given the quality of the the Hotel, the Gardens and quite definitely the retaurant, a travel lodge/premier inn would surpass on this one particular item. If you don't want feather/ down you can get much better quality synthetic duvets.

loved the room, the staff were excellant especially Elliot the waiter who was a pleasure and nothing was too much for us. In saying this all the other staff were good, great attention from the breakfast staff too, loved the egg selection. found it rather badly signed and complicated to get around, possibly consider the layout and making it more easier to negotiate.

We only had 1 nights stop over and didn't arrive until around 9pm and left the next morning, so we weren't there long. We were very impressed when we turned into the drive. Mere Court Hotel is a beautiful country mansion in lovely grounds. The rooms were very comfortable and decor suited the style of the hotel. Breakfast was in a lovely dining room and had a very relaxed feel and a wonderful menu. There was a wedding on the night we were staying and was slightly noisy when guests were going to bed, but not for long.

Service, staff and food all good Arrived at 3.00pm after long drive. My Room was not ready and told to wait 30 minutes. What time would I have to leave and was told 11.00am. Why was my room not ready? No answer. Room was firrthest away from arrival desk. No.321. Described as Lakeview there was only a large tree close to the window and so was quite dark. TV did not work. Toilet seat was loose and needed repair. Was glad to leave. Certainly NOT value for money!

The purpose of our visit was to visit family and to attend a wedding of a family member. Our stay prior to the wedding (ie Tues to Friday) was very comfortable and with a friendly ambiance. The wedding was then on the Saturday and Mere Court provided the wedding reception, dinner, entertainment etc. The reception and room was immaculately prepared and very attractively decorated and set out. The meal was excellent and was followed by a very enjoyable evening with a good bar and dance floor. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The hotel grounds are a delight and enabled some very good wedding photographs. All in all, a very good and enjoyable stay.

Very fine Edwardian period hotel situated in a nice semi rural location with extensive, relaxing grounds and lake. On a semi main road, but so far back from the road (and the hotels own car park) for it not to matter at all. Very good facilities. Had to report that a reading lamp was faulty, and then remind them a few hours later along with a problem with lack of hot water from the shower but then it was fixed immediately and we were reported back to by a very courteous young man who came into the dining room to inform us that it was mended. Picturesque location, we asked for a quiet room and got one overlooking a field with horses in. Would recommend this hotel without question. Liked everything but we were informed by booking.com that it was a room only that we had booked then forund out after we left and looked on our leaving receipt that we were entitled to a breakfast. We would either like to return for this breakfast another time or have a refund for this portion.

Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Facilities were good. Room was huge and bed was excellent. We had afternoon tea which was lovely and our evening meal and breakfast both excellent. Very few people in the restaurant for evening meal so staff very attentative. I thought Hotel could do with sprucing up a little as it looked a bit tired in some public areas but nothing too bad.The hotel grounds were lovely with a huge fish pond. Nice for sitting outside with a drink or having a walk around and a good pub ( The Kilton ) just a few minutes walk away if you want to get out for a bit. Close to lovely village of Knutsford and Tatton Park. Overall very good would recommend. The only thing that disapointed me was it was just too far to be able to walk into Knutsford but that would be the only thing I would say negatively about the hotel which is nothing really.
