Location is ok, although not perfect. Very low prices. Ok breakfast. When I arrived, I was told that I would have to change rooms after the first night, which was inconvenient. Also, I was badly bitten by some insects on the first night in the hotel room. |

Everything perfect for this prize, you can't ask for more. The room nice and clean, staff friendly. You can even walk from the hotel to the center. The hotel is in a quite area and the walk is really nice, along a street full of restaurants and shops. No complaints at all. |

Ease of travel into Edinburgh central - buses every 10 mins in and out of city from directly outside hotel. Budget pricing made for cheap stay. |

Clean, good shower, good continental breakfast. Poor TV and TV reception. Although I booked this Hotel several months in advance they had no record of my booking. This was'nt a problem as there was another room free. |

The room was clean with it's oddities of being a converted house Traffic noise and the 'Saniflo' from the shower room. Breakfast was very basic considering the price. |

Price availability and location. Bus stop right outside the door. Converted house where one room is converted into two, hence space extremely limited in bedroom. Basic accommodation, but edinburgh was booked solid at the time and this was one of the few options left. Walls and floors barely dulled conversations between adjacent guests. Smell of frying from kitchen strong, but not sure if coming up stairwell or through open window. |

We spent just 4 night at Merith House Hotel and we spent all day in the city or countryside - castles, museums, tours, .... We were just sleeping in the hotel. |

The hotel is reasonably cheap and the staff were very friendly and it was clean. It is poorly decorated and not very sound proof but at these prices what matters is that it is clean. |

The price, the on-suite facilities Going for the cheapest hotel you've got to expect that it won't be as good as normal hotels, so it wasn't bad. |

The staffs are very nice and friendly. The breakfast was great. And the location is good. Bus No.11 takes you directly to the hotel. Just stop at Somerset place. |

The rate! I guess you get what you pay for... The central heating wasn't on, the bed covers were extra thin, the shower hot water heater was producing lukewarm water, the area between the hotel and the town centre was rather dodgy... |

My low expectations were exceeded considerably. Great local welcome, efficient breakfast, Great bed linen! Quiet. Wonderful value. Wish they had served a cooked breakfast. |
