2 Park Lane is an elegant, warm and welcoming family-run guesthouse within walking distance of the center of Salisbury.
Score from 102 reviews Excellent
Very high level of service, and hosts were understanding of our travel delay. No extra charge for our dog (and warm welcome to him) always highly appreciated. Very well kept rooms (and excellent selection of teas, books, DVDs) and well decorated (antique style) as well as immaculately clean. And the best B&B breakfast I have had yet - well worthy of their award! Very obliging with directions too. Highly recommended.
Fantastic welcome Lovely breakfast with lots of choice Good personal service Great rooms
Nothing to dislike
Beautiful coffee and chocolate brownie on arrival (unexpected!), excellent breakfast, lovely shower and very comfortable bed - everything we wanted for the night. Not far from Salisbury town centre. I'd highly recommend Mericale House.
Comfy bed, great breakfast, easy walk, for us, into town. Very welcoming host.
Steep stairs to bedroom and sadly, no shower in our bathroom.
The best breakfast in 3 weeks. Room was clean and the hostess was very accommodating.
The stairs up to the bedroom are very narrow and very steep. A person of heavy girth would have immense difficulty making it up. My slight framed wife actually fell going up the stairs. The King bed is actually a Queen.
Cleanliness Cats are friendly Breakfast is amazing Sarah is very friendly
Very pretty setting. Ease of access to city centre via public transport. Lovely garden beyond conservatory breakfast room.
Comfortable bed Clean and well equipped Delicious breakfast Pretty gardens
There was no shower attachment in the bath
Family owned guest house, with wonderful room and breakfast.
The owner was nice and made you feel like you were at home. The bath was big enough and looks really nice. The breakfast was really good, the owner cooks all things herself
Although there was a bath, the room lacked a shower. I only stayed for one night so i didn't really mind about this.
The owner had excellent customer focus and it was a wonderful stay.
Beautifully comfortable and homely place to return to at the end of an eventful day of touring historic Salisbury. Quiet, plenty to read while relaxing and a wonderful bed. Sarah made us feel welcome and gave us a delicious breakfast plus advice on where to dine. I would definetely recommend my friends to stay there. Thank you Sarah!
The welcome was like visiting an old friend. Sarah was very helpful and made a terrific breakfast. The conservatory was delightful place to have breakfast. Really enjoyed our stay.
Steep stairs. Hard to get bags up to room.
real hospitality fantastic breakfast fantastic collection of travel- and photobooks
- a great welcome - nice breakfast - charming room and decoration - chatting with Sarah
- there was no headshower in the bath ( which could be a problem for elderly people)
The welcome, the comfort, the wonderful breakfast.
We would haver liked a shower, but everything else was superb.
A genuine, friendly welcome . Very willing to accommodate us as to arrival time. Breakfast was a real treat- the home made muffins were irresistible!
Can't think of a thing!
Quaint location about 15 min walk from center of town. Sarah was wonderful - gave us dinner recommendations and provided a lovely breakfast. We had the whole second floor - two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and sitting room. Very comfortable rooms and modern bathrooms. A true small B&B with two rooms to let.
I was a bit freaked out by the large picture in the living room. Not a great first impression. But it all turned out great!
The house was great - quirky with its steep little staircase and low ceilings. Loved the breakfast and enjoyed chatting to Sarah.
A dream stay! Sarah was a fabulous host. The room was beautifully decorated and clean. The conservatory where we had breakfast was stunning and the breakfast itself was beautifully cooked. I would definitely recommend this B & B to anybody.
Getting heavy luggage up the steep staircase was difficult... other than that NOTHING!
Attention to detail and very friendly owner.
The owner was unbelievably accommodating and very friendly--she greeted us with a cold beverage and a snack. The breakfasts were delicious (much more variety that you usually see at a B&B), and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. We paid to stay in the king room, and had a lovely view of the garden, and a large bathtub en suite.
It's a bit far from the city centre compared to other places we looked at, but this is reflected in the (very reasonable) price. Still a walkable distance.
Extremely friendly, personable B&B. I enjoyed so much and slept so well, that I immediately re-booked the B&B for my next business trip in the area. Can't recommend highly enough and really looking forward to my next visit. The breakfast is as good as it looks in the pictures.
