Large, comfortable, and calm room For some very strange reason, the toilet seat of the bathroom was replaced by an old, totally weared-out version before the last night.

Locality was excellent. Ideally placed 1 minutes walk from Bond street Tube Sation and Oxford Street/Regent Street. Double room was two single beds together and room was quite compact. Quite noisy at night due to traffic.

10 out of 10 for location. We had a triple room with three single beds. There was plenty of space and a nice ensuite bathroom with shower. It was clean and tidy. Perfect for staying over a weekend to go shopping or to the theatre. The hotel had it's own private entrance next to a Pizza restaurant and there were steep stairs leading up to the reception area. Although located in a side street off of Oxford Street, it was a little noisy at night.

The hotel had a rather odd arrangement being split between two sides of the road but it was quiet and the room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was really good and giving a 10% disc ount for guests at the hotel was nice. It was very central for both theatre and the shops which worked well for us. Unfortunately the breakfast was probably the worst that I have ever encountered. A continental breakfast should consist of more than cornflakes/frosties/yogurt/fruit juice/toast and pre-wrapped jams and cheeses. A pity that because it lets the hotel down.

Really clean room with a very clean bathroom, really nice big windows, fantastic location almost on Oxford street & in great area There was quite some noise from the street - it seemed as if every garbage truck was passing that street at night. The windows were really big, making it a very light room but the noise insulation might need to be a bit better

So convenient for shopping. Stayed with my two adult daughters. Ok, so we didn't have bar or lift, but who cares when you are running in and out with bags of bargains...... We go to London every year.... and we will be back!!!!

The location, right off Oxford Street, can't be beat. Still, it's tucked away in a side alley so no noise from outside. Wifi wasn't free, my room was right next to the reception and all night I heard other guests arriving, phones ringing or receptionists talking. The curtains weren't really dark and there were bright lights right outside my window, so it was impossible to make my room dark.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times now and have always been very pleased with the Hotel and Staff. I work in the West End of London and have stayed due to work related functions. This Hotel is in an excellent location for Oxford Street and west end high end shopping. Good all rounder.

Excellent central location. Good Italian Restaurant on ground floor Rather steep stairs access with a push chair. Bit cramped for 2 adults,a 12 year old child and a baby cot, but more than adequate for the price.

Location is very good, just 2 minutes from Bod Street metro station. Roms are rather spaious for such location and such money Difficult to find, because it is not a traditional hotel, but several premises in 2 or 3 houses in a very small srteet. The charge extra 4% if you pay with credir card

Good location on quiet side road between New Bond Street and Oxford Street. We chose Mermaid Suites for it's location, just that and it didn't disappoint. Room comfort could be improved. For example: no free wifi, no safe, tiny closet, only one small towel per person! Bring ear plugs, you will hear your neighbours.

It's location The Mermaid Hotel had useless, unhelpful staff who just wanted the money. I am 58 years old and I had to carry all the suitcased up 4 flights of stairs myself and was lucky enough to encounter a little help from strangers who just happened to be in the right place at the right time for me, or else, God help me. No elevators, ridiculously small rooms that make it impossible to even open your suitcase. Rooms spread out in different buildings on Blenheim St. Just a sickening place. My daughter and I moved to the Best Western on Shaftsbury Ave for more or less the same price and they upgraded us to a clubroom for no extra charge because of our bad experience and it was an even better location.
