Location. Very close to the University. Staff were friendly & helpful.
Breakfast Friendliness of staff
Comfortable bed, recently refurbished room, pleasant and helpful staff, free parking
Had a big problem with the card door entry system (and so did other guests) to the extent that in the end the receptionist had to come and let us in. Our recently refurbished room smelt very strongly of paint and our TV had sound issues
It was alright. Staff were helpful.
Room had a weird smell. The two double rooms looked so different from each other. One was classy, the other one was awful.
Good all around hotel stay Value and comfort
No wifi, poor signal so could not watch tv, springs coming through the matteres, top on the bath was broken so had to shower sitting down as there was not enough pressure! Would not stay again!!!
I liked the location of the hotel, Also the breakfast and resturant bar was a positive change from the Travelodge.
No TV ! On asking for a replacement I was told the ariel was faulty and would not be repaired during my stay. so this was not good, I like breakfast news and also to relax in my room in the evening. The table's outside the main reception were filthy and not giving a good impression. I was very dissappointed about the TV. I visit the area regularily and I will consider an alternative hotel, which is a great shame, As I have used this hotel many times as a Travelodge, and I had high hopes for your chain. My next visit is in February, April, June so far.
There is obviously a damp problem, the wallpaper had been stripped to the lining paper on the outside wall revealing the damaged plaster beneath.(the flat roof outside looks as if it needs attention). the toilet roll holder needs replacing. Room 121
Location and value was perfect.
The heating in the room was a bit of a disappointment and was a bit cold could you sort that out plus I couldn't have a shower because I could only get one supply of water at a time couldn't have a mixture of both the cold and hot together. After a night out was locked out for a bit
The staff were friendly and helpfull
A very dated facility poor wi-fi in the room. Decor of the room 70's style except very modern TV that wasn't linked to a decent arial.
Everything was spot on!
I usually pay £35 since i'm a regular customer but the prices have seem to have gone high -.- for a double bed 1 night i payed £40 & i thought metro inn walsall was famous for its low prices!
Good food. Some areas are a bit tatty, but all in all very good for the price.
Key card isn't always charged, which means a trip to reception!
Location - son had interview at university 9am.
Rooms a bit 'tired'
The bed was really comfortable.
The TV didn't really work nor did two of the lights. Limited toiletries.
Friendly staff reasonable bar prices, the room was priced reasonably also
TV needed replacing the sound could not be heard as it was buzzing constantly. Having to check out at 10am I have never stayed in a hotel with such an early check out
Very friendly staff excellent value for money
I stay here once a month for my uni course and I always have a great stay. The best thing is the staff, they're so nice and helpful and Harvey on the front desk is always so friendly! The rooms are clean, warm and comfortable with nice hot showers, the wifi works well and there is free onsite parking as well. The Indian restaurant downstairs serves amazing food which you can have in your room if you choose. Great value for money, wouldn't stay anywhere else in Walsall!
Nothing, great hotel all round.
location and price
little tatty but fair given everything else.
Comfort & price.
We last used this hotel when it was a Travelodge. Since that time it has been tidied up and improved. Public access rooms are cleaner and in better state of repair. The breakfast room, formerly a sore, looked positively inviting, but we didn't use it ourselves. Free parking and wi-fi are absolute basics and are available there now, whereas Travelodge charged £3 for 24 hours parking! and the wi-fi didn't connect, so, much better.
The accommodation rooms are not overhauled yet. These are still tired and peeling. New wallpaper, pictures and such would make them much better. New curtains and the windows cleaned would also improve the feel of the rooms. There was mould in the bathroom around the shower tiling. The loo seat was loose and slid off if you moved on it.
Staff, Location, Bar and Sky Sports,Food
For £36+ per night what is there not to like
Nice Cheap Price
Shabby, old, tired hotel, guess you get what you pay for.
Staff were great. Plenty of parking spaces
No remote for the tv
The restarant was very good value for money
The bed could been more comfy
