Good price and great place
The comfort of the beds was very good. The separate lights for the bedsides were a bonus. Often they are controlled as one. It was a large comfortable room, very quiet, overlooking a wood.
Water was so hot it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature, as it was controlled by mixer taps. At one time we could only get hot water from the cold tap in the bath - a bit dangerous. The place needed proper cleaning and steam cleaning esp in the corners in the bathroom. Toilet smelt and had brownish smears on the seat. If it were properly cleaned, it would be good value for money.
Some of the staff were friendly and helpful.
Saturday morning reception clearly didnt want to talk to anyone ( a good morning would have been nice) kettle had been cleaned with something making the coffee undrinkable. Room not especially clean. Shower temperature diffcult to manage.
Room was very dirty, in particular the bathroom
Damp smell Grubby carpets Lino lifting in bathroom
Wifi was good
The very bad smell of damp in room 16 had all my contents of my travel bag smelling of damp
We liked the location, the fridge and the microwave oven in the room. The bed was nice and wide and the bed linen was spotless.
Not enough power points in the room. Could have done with a rail on which to hang the bath towels whilst bathing/showering. A small table would have been useful for when we were eating in, on which to rest our coffee mugs etc; Over all, we had to agree, value for money.
Reasonable price,good location
Scruffy appearance of staff who were standing outside entrance smoking, badly in need of renovation , dust on top of fridge etc.
Room was dirty Corridors full of laundry trolleys Kettle was very dirty in room I had to wash the cups before I used them I was greeted by reception personnel smoking outside... I thought he was a guest! More lights outside in car park, I was alone with my daughter & dog, had to take my dog out to toilet, but felt afraid being alone in car park in the dark.
Perfect cheap place to stay if you have car. This hotel is on the motor way and adjacent to a fuel station. The Guildford city and Surrey University is just 20 min driving distance. Staffs are helpful and good. Plenty of parking places. The internet is very fast. The rooms are good insulated and no sound from the highway.
The towel hanger inside the toilet was broken.
large room large TV locallity
did not like that the fire door to the outside was propped wide open and the fire door on the upper landing was propped open with a fire extinguisher.
Cheap. Quiet Bed clean and comfy Loads of hot water Tea coffee fridge tv etc
No details about wifi . My iPod remembered from last time but couldn't connect to phone. Settee dirty.
The place had a Starbucks next to it! The staff at the desk were very helpful and assisted us with directions to where we needed to go. Also helped us with early check in.
The carpet was really old and I didnt really want to stand on it. He shower was grubby. The sofa bed for my little one was gross so he slept in with us. Needs a complete refresh.
Dirty. Smelly. Too cheap. Really needs closing and starting again.
Helpful and polite staff. Room was clean and with microwave and fridge in room, ideal place to stay if just want to somewhere to sleep after trips out.
It's a little shabby and could do with decorating.
Free wifi clean and tidy Very good value for money easy location
Slightly noisy from traffic so unable to have window open overnight.
LOCATION HELPFUL STAFF GOOD SIZE ROOM
A bit shabby and dark. Nowhere to get a meal
All was very nice
Reasonable price Comfortable bed Good Wi Fi Clean En suite
Although there was a bath the taps had been converted so that only the the shower head could be used.
Room was spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Water was always hot.
Not much place outside to exercise or have a smoke. Smokers had to sit by the entrance. There should be a smoking area with seats and bins for the cigarette ends. WiFi was down most of the stay which was frustrating.
Fairly decent central location for sightseeing. Provision of a small refrigerator in the room is a really useful addition. A microwave oven is also provided and could be very useful depending on needs. The bedding and linen were clean and the room was generally clean.
The appearance of staff was generally " grubby" and should be much improved. The introduction of a "Metro Inns" uniform may well assist in this and a code of "grooming" appearance could also help achieve this. Staff tended to congregate around entrance of reception smoking. On at least one occasion four staff were noted and the ashtrays should be emptied frequently. The whole place would benefit from a makeover and general TLC.
Great to have phone numbers of local facilities, friendly staff and great to have a fridge
Only one thing that was a bit annoying the blasting of horns and wheel spinning in car park in the early hours
Room full of cobwebs Bed mattress worn out. Room dowry.
