Got we expected for the money. Adequate.
Basic. Don't expect any frills! Wi fi in our room kept dropping in and out of signal.
Disgusting smell in hallways and room, sick stains on carpet and door, many other stains on floor, dirty bathroom, cold shower, dirty mugs for tea/coffee, they say you get what you pay for and I would of expected more for the £77 we paid for 2 night stay, not worth anymore than £20 a night, would not recommend it at all
It's easy to get to and the wi-fi is free and works well. The room had a microwave and a fridge which I didn't expect but was very welcome. It was quiet and comfortable, for £35/night it's good value.
The room needs a refurb, the carpets are dirty and the couch had seen better days. The shower didn't run hot in the mornings, probably because of use by other guests in the hotel at the same time. Being on the A30 there are no facilities within walking distance, you need a car to get to a pub, restaurant etc although there is a Starbucks at the service station and food can be obtained at the petrol station.
Excellent location for what we needed. Somewhere to rest after a fantastic family wedding at The Old Thorns.
Nothing to dislike
Lots of facilities in the room
The hotel needs a good overhaul.

not comfortable beds.
Room was not very clean ,smelt of damp and the bathroom had not been cleaned recently.
No HOT water in the first room we were in. The constant noise from the traffic, it was almost as if we were on the motorway. Rooms were dirty although the beds were clean. Very, very, very tired.
We were househunting in the area so just needed a base to sleep in . Stayed two nights . Helpful staff on reception, kettle etc for coffee , microwave ( but did not use it ) and small fridge. Lovely thick white towels and plenty of hot water. Very quiet...no traffic noise at all. Big tv. Very good value for money
No shampoo! Had to find some where for breakfast since no on site restaurant but that was not a problem since we were out and about anyway. If we were more organised we could have brought food with us and had cereal and even a bacon sandwich!! Will know for next time.
- The bed was very comfortable - A microwave and a fridge were provided - Free wifi - Friendly and helpful staff - Comfortable sofa - Starbucks opposite for breakfast
- The toilet seat had urine all over it when I arrived - Only the ends of two toilet rolls were provided - The toilet hadn't been flushed from previous use when I arrived - There were stains in the carpet - Costs £10 in a taxi to and from Liphook - If you turned the cold tap of the bath even slightly, it completely overwhelmed the hot water for the bath and shower (I wasn't the only guest to say this) - £55 a night was a little on the expensive side
Price and location
TV quality, only very standard channels. Requested extra tea/coffee items prior to visit but nothing added.
The staff were excellent; very friendly and attentive. To have a fridge & microwave in this room was a surprise for the low cost of the room.
More hot water, I did understand that a replacement immersion is bring fitted
Bathroom had not been cleaned, carpet filthy
value for money
Fridge and microwave, comfortable
large TV, but 'analogue', - few, random channels - eg, no BBC 1 or 2. Tired decor.
Clean sheets and towels, huge telly, friendly staff. Good price.
I had a scented candle burning all night and still was not able to get rid of the foul smell in my room. Could feel every single bed spring.
The microwave and fridge in room were useful and the bed was comfortable. Staff were polite but matter of fact. I felt they were doing their best to make good of a bad job! I guess we got what we paid for - it was cheap!
There was a general scruffiness about the whole place including staff turnout. The TV was not as promised and the location was not ideal for food etc. Room cleaning was clearly VERY basic - bed making but failed to replace toilet rolls!
No hot water
There was a micro wave inside the room
Price was excellent Coffee and micro wave / fridge facilites
Lack of shower soap Dated rooms and fittings Noise from rooms above from very early morning 5.0 am leavers Heating not very efficient
The location was good, staff friendly and there was a fridge and microwave to use.
The cleanliness was appalling; hairs round the bath in numerous locations, behind the bathroom door was filthy and the overall 'feel' of the room was 'grubby'-I know that the hotel had been busy the night before but the room appeared to have been neglected for a while. I think it should have been slightly cheaper for the state and quality (walls needed a lick of paint) of the room.
Close to A3, but not much road noise. Friendly staff. Big room that was fairly clean. Comfy bed.
Bathroom (room 4) needs some TLC. Shower curtain had spots of mould, bathroom plug lost and bathroom door rotten along bottom edge.
The room is warm and the microwave, TV and Wi-Fi access are useful.
I've regularly stayed at this hotel with my daughter, booking a family room each time, as it's the most reasonable place to stay in the locality. Every time I've been told that the extra bedding should be available in the room and it never has been. The pull out bed this visit was fine, but last time the mattress was so filthy I would never have allowed her to sleep on it. Additionally this time I had to clean the bath of a rather disturbing amount of dark pubic hairs before I could run my daughter a bath. Not great all in all.
Low price and easy to find
There was a very strong smell of damp throughout the hotel. ie on ground floor corridor and in room 13. It took awhile to get used to it !
