Nothing; we were most disappointed. As we arrived in reception there was a smell which can only be described as a dirty smell. The toilets either had toilet paper overflowing in the bowl or hand soap dispensers which were broken therefore we couldn't wash our hands until back at the room. I can only imagine the bacteria spreading if everyone had to do this. The double bed was hard and uncomfortable. I paid £7 (£3.50 each for my partner and I) for breakfast which we thought would be a hot breakfast, as it didn't state either way, but were met with a tick sheet for cereal and toast. Due to the cleanliness of the place we decided not to have this in the end as we could only imagine the cleanliness of the kitchen after the odd smell in reception, the halls and room which met us. We will not be staying here again.

Helpful and friendly staff. Goof parking. Quiet location. It wouldn't take too much work or cost to give the place a minor update/makeover which would possibly broaden its appeal to families visiting the area.

We arrived and spent about a minute to decide to leave.I Telephoned a taxi to take us to a car hire company and hired a car a day early to take us to a proper hotel on our route to Norwich. On entry to the rest over lodge we found it like an eastern block prison.firstly it was situated in an industrial estate, the paintwork left a lot to be desired, two of the fire escape door glasses were cracked, the door of our room was moving when locked, not a place for a retired couple to rest easily for the night. In all it was a waste of £38 which I probably won't see again.not a place for booking.com to advertise.

Low cost, easy to use and you know what you are getting. The hotel has a dirty / musty smell about the place that get on your clothes. The worst areas seem to be the corridors.

It was less than 2 miles away from where I was working The hotel is used as a halfway hour for ex-convicts, who have just left prison and haven't yet been allocated a hostel to stay at. The hotel is also used by the DSS for housing homeless people, who spend their time begging for cigarettes and money outside reception. The hotel is in need of a major facelift with much of the exterior of the building in need of renovation.
