Score from 518 reviews Very good
cheap and cheerful , you gel what you pay for,
The bed was good, nice and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast too, great to have it included, which was the main reason we chose the hotel. My husband liked the large tv and many channels too.
I wasn't really warm enough but the double glazing had been fitted wrongly so that didn't help and it was December. Also there was a charity ball downstairs, the music kept me awake until 2 am. I would have liked to have known in advance.
Noise Run Down Cold
It was pretty grim
proximity to centre.
Mould in bathroom, bed could have been more comfortable.
very clean, very reasonable, cheap parking, simple to book. tea coffee in room etc, to, free wifi
Bit tired and dated
Reception staff very nice and really helpful. Price is really good.
Cold Room at night single bed with not enough blankets.
Staff friendly and breakfast good
Shower, fat TV, 1 plug only and light bulb gone.
Good location and value for money.
Could do with some updating.
Location Internet speed Bath
Public areas Broken windows Immediate area No parking on site
The staff were very nice and welcoming. Never been to Derby before. We were a very short walk from the bars. Our room cost just £33.00 for a Saturday in November. The room was clean, no complaints. whole feel was quite dated, but I believe they have newer rooms for a higher cost
Reception looked nice and clean
Only 1 lift working and even it struggled. Room smelt old bed covering looked old and overused. Hair dryer cut out after 2 seconds, remote didn't work with TV so only one available channel. Plug socket next to bed out of use with exposed wires, mug provided had coffee stain from last user. Bad temperature control, could take radiator off full blast and could close both sets of windows. Didn't bother to try breakfast as wasn't comfortable with cleaning standards
well sited for our visit , helpful staff
3rd floor was a bit dated but hotel is being refurbished , no remote for tv but only stayed one night so not really an issue , enjoyed the exercise of getting up to change channel .
Read ALOT of reviews online and feared the worse but went with a group of lads and rooms were sound no where near as bad as expected
Breakfast not bad continental
Hotel in rundown part of town Room needed good clean Toilet not flushing Noisy disco till 2am due to wedding Towels frayed no blankets in room Old drafty windows part double glaze missing Needs good refurb
The reception looked ok but that's it! The staff did try to be helpful and offered us upgrades but they were all double beds
The rooms were dirty no bedding one of the rooms the beds were on their sides! Dirty cups and tins of paint on the dressing table. The smell of stale tobacco hit you when you got out of the lift. Needless to say we didn't stay!
Location is good and the staff are very nice and kind!
The single room is not the room that appears in the photos so when I arrived the shower was reaaaaaally small and I had to ask for another room.. It took 1 day to change me to a room with a bath tub (one that I could fit) but they were really nice and solved my problem as soon as they could!
Free wi-fi. Location.
Mould on windows and around the shower.
No toilet roll in room
The room was like living back in the 70's. Hated it. Made a big mistake booking this place.
Close to city centre. Cheap. Good breakfast.
Not very clean room, TV was rather small, bathroom door not closing, towels with holes.
Quick service by some staff.
I was blocked in the car park. I was late for work. They must not allow anyone to block people in.
This hotel was good under Heritage name but the new company metro inn is distroying the good things in this hotel and maintains.
It has the worst hotel managment in the world. Every thing bad.
The location was perfect but the hotel was disgusting.
The fresh smell of smoke in the room. The dirty cigarette butts down the sink plug hole. No towels on arrival. Asked to be moved but apparently fully booked! Dirty cups that obviously hadn't been washed!
The situation was fantastic as the gig was only round the corner . My room was very good with a great little bathroom and the staff were polite and helpful . The breakfast was enjoyable . For the price this was a deluxe stay .
As I have spinal issues it is a little unfair to say I didn't like the bed but I had to write something .
