Excellent in all ways
The room was well equipped, comfortable and clean, there are not many hotels where you find an ipod docking device, an iron, an ironing board and a hairdryer. The linen appeared to be changed every day. The staff were all lovely very friendly. The mezze menu served in the evenings was really different.
Nothing not to like. We chose the hotel because it was the only accommodation available close to relatives we were visiting and it certainly did not disappoint us.
menu and food
Atmosphere, surroundings and food
Uncomftable bed, no hairdrier, no wardrobe
Friendly staff and good food
Bed was a little uncomfortable and heated towel rail didn't seem to work. Shower cubicle wasn't as clean as you would expect.
Friendly staff. Lovely room and shower.
Room was a bit hot and tv fuzzed. Hard to get hold of staff for breakfast and checking out
Beatuiful rooms, especially for the price Staff attentive and friendly Close location to areas of interest for families Fantastic breakfast
The throw on the bed hadn't been washed and was the only thing that let down the rest of the beautiful room and excellent
Convenient location for Bristol, Cheddar Gorge and the coast. Freshly cooked breakfast Good choice of food for an evening meal
Would have preferred a few slices of toasted bread with breakfast.
Unusual and very tasty Mezze supper
Window opens directly on to busy road
The rooms were large, the food was good andd therr was plenty of parking. It was a pleasant place to stay.
Comfortable room, shower excellent. Cooked breakfast good. Having meals at the inn was very convenient.
Breakfast cereals very limited.
The quality of the food was excellent as was the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff
The blind in my bathroom had a slat missing.
Very friendly staff and extremely helpful. As my Wife required oxygen for medical reasons the staff dealt with this requirement very well
Didn't like ciabatta for breakfast instead of normal bread for toast. Only left two bags for evening and morning for two people. Not an awful lot of choice of cereals etc. Evening menu not to our liking so we didn't have dinner here.
pleasant, helpful staff. Comfortable room with lots of facilities.
The noise from the traffic. We did not enjoy the food but may have made the wrong choices for dinner. The worst breakfasts we have ever been served, inedible.
Excellent staff, good food and comfortable, warm room.
WiFi was awful so couldn't do any work. Limited public transport especially during early hours. Food and drink very expensive.
Staff were polite, a nice room with adequate furnishings and decor. Breakfast was very nice and well presented
Shower cubicle grout was showing growth of mould in places and needed a good deep clean. Tea making service was sparce in ingredients
Lovely big room, plenty of space for 4. Bathroom tidy. Staff were very attentive. Everyone had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was fantastic, staff really looked after my young children's needs.
The second put-you-up bed for the children wasn't very sturdy. My daughter ended up with her mattress on the floor as she felt more secure there. However, she still slept well.
They Staff was very friendly and welcoming.
We are a family with three children. The hotel rooms only really accommodate for Families with two children, of which has to sleep in a cot. With only one child able to sleep in a cot the other two children had to top and tail on a camp bed, as the hotel could not provide a further bed.
On business in Avonmouth, I had not planned to stay this far away, but almost everywhere else was full. Pleased that I did, comfortable, newly refurbished country pub with excellent restaurant. I would definitely stay again.
The rooms were beautiful.
The staff were not welcoming, having an almost couldn't care less attitute. The place had no amosphere. The pub 100 yards down the road was throbbing with life and atmosphere and the food down the road was excellent.
The room was attractively furnished, and well equipped, including tea and filter coffee, a radio-cd player-iPad dock, and a large tv, iron and ironing board. The double glazing worked well at reducing road noise. The staff were friendly and polite. They hadn't actually received our booking, but dealt very well with us arriving unexpectedly at 9 pm.
The sofa bed was a hard leather sofa - it made a lot of noise and was rather slippery. Not very comfortable for our son. The windows overlooked a road with quite a lot of tractors and lorries on weekdays. Although the noise wasn't bad (luckily it was cool enough not to need to open the windows), it felt as if there was an earthquake when lorries went by. The grouting in the shower needed some cleaning.
The decor. The room was clean The nice eastern european lady who served our breakfast
We were on the ground floor, and the window didnt open at top so had to keep it closed all night, room was small so it got very stuffy.. the teamaking shelf was at chin height and kettle had to go on floor, as lead didnt reach the shelf. 2 electric sockets didnt work No hot water in basin, so didnt even attempt shower. no socket by mirror to do hair. Buzzing noise of generator or compressor all night, on and off kept us awake. Didnt like the menu, was hoping for normal pub food, not messed up over priced bits and pieces. TV had no BBC stations at all, not even news. The wardrobe had only half height hanging space, for shortish skirts or tops, so no use for dresses. Breakfast was OK, but not impressed with one piece of toast each,(ready 'buttered' ) which was one roll cut in 3 lengthways...(there were 3 of us!!) and a mushroom, one of us had half a mushroom, the other 2 of us had a quarter of a mushroom. Unbelievable. nice sausage tho. and only one cup of tea included.
Good looking room, nicely equipped. Breakfast was first class although coffee was a bit strong for my liking.
There was a lot of paint falling from ceiling of shower cubicle and water pressure was quite low resulting in a cold or very hot shower-it was difficult to moderate the temperature.
The rooms were fantastic.
We were kept waiting for over half an hour for our breakfast & when It finally came it was cold. We didn't say anything then as we had already waited for it & we had to be somewhere.
