Took over an hour to check in. Said they never had the booking. I Had all the relevent reference numbers and still couldnt check in. Been on the road for hours. Very poor

The only thing I can think of that was good about the hotel was the location. I thought the hotel was very outdated and needed modernising, our room was freezing considering we stayed in one of the coldest weekends. Myself and my boyfriend did not get any sleep as there was other residants staying in the hotel making lots of noise. When we told the manager he did not seem to care at all and was more interesed.

Friendly,welcoming,food very good.Good value for money &location good for visiting our family & going to Chelmsford. Decorations a bit shabby in places,definitely needs new showers.

Convenient location for our purposes (visiting friends and family). Very pleasant and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Good bar facility. Good parking. Disappointed to be in a room in the extension.- Central heating did not work though a free-standing heater was quickly provided. Bathroom was cold.

The room was quite spacious, had full size mirror. Staff was really friendly and organised. Loved the fact they had free internet, which was really fast. The room we stayed in wasn't very clean (needed a good detail cleaning), shower was too small with a blocked drainage pipe. Double bed was quite small too, but comfortable. Poor breakfast choice. Too expensive considering all the faults we found and comparing it with other hotels.

This is a very good, value for money hotel with friendly staff, clean & comfortable bedrooms and good food. We enjoyed a full English breakfast and found that reasonably priced bar meals were served in the evening as well as the a la carte restaurant meals which meant that we didn't have to travel into town to find somewhere to eat when we arrived at 8pm. I would certainly stay in this hotel if I visited Chelmsford again.

We attended a function at this Hotel and stayed overnight. it was perfect and convenient for what we wanted. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were a bit tired and dated.

The location was quite good on the main road. Upon arrival was kept waiting at the desk for about 20 minutes. The room was advertised as having cable tv and did not. The staff were not particularly friendly.

Location I enquired about a deal due to the 6/9 months I will be staying the area,I was told by reception to get in touch with the manager and there would not be a problem,I e-mailed the manager and the price given was the standard rate.If a deal was not available I would expected reception to have been aware of this,thus saving me the time and effort of asking

Pleasant, indiosyncratic feel to the place. Probably because it is a family run business and a one-off design. Lots of parking space. Nice restaurant. One of the breakfast staff was surly and charmless.
