Excellent service at Reception
Would stay again
Comfortable Room and friendly and helpful staff, They where happy to remake the bed with a sheet and blanket instead of the heavy duvet supplied. The breakfasts were excellent. We will certainly use the hotel again when in the area. There was plenty of car parking.
The hotel is quite a way out of the town centre, however there are buses that stop nearby.
Wall paper had stains, strange smell in the rooms
Menu in restaurant
Smart and clean with quality furnishings Very friendly and helpful staff Well located for the city facilities and transport services Quiet despite being near a main road
The food in the restaurant was absolutely great. Very tasty and good portion size. I had the cajun chicken starter which was the best i have ever had
size of the room staff
shower head no room services can't access wi-fi except in the lounge
Table service breakfast
Stained bedspread, stained carpet, had to run around in shower to get wet, miserable reception staff, clocking in for staff in reception, extreme overpricing for customer offer.
Doors banging constantly by guests arriving and leaving,11pm 4am ,window shudders when doors bang shut, no shampoo in shower, had to run round in shower to get wet,was allocated poor room in the annex next door, mainly contractors staying.no positive reply to my complaint to the management.
air conditioning as very hot day good breakfast comfy room
shower not very powerful
The hotel is clean, very nice, friendly stuff
I was disturbed in the night by a drunken guy who could not find his room. Efforts from the stuff hotel to calm down the guy were useless at least for 30minutes. Other people waked up, too. Lots of noise in the night at 4am... and I had to go up very early and very tired.
Good location if like me, you find yourself working in Chelmsford. Breakfast was fine.
Personal pet hate is a bad shower and this had to be the worst in a long time with woeful water pressure. Front of house was welcoming but the room I was in was fairly dated. All things equal not too bad in terms of value for money.
convenient for purpose
no sitting room
Staff can't do enough for you, great food in the restaurant, conveniently situated for the city.
Sleeping in a out building
Noise from heavy road traffic, which disturbed my sleep even with the window closed
Single beds ridiculously narrow
Breakfast was not good
Sewage smells in rooms, poor quality of furnishings and poor level of cleanliness
Everything and great food
Could not open a window but had air conditioning
good location though more than a 15 - 20 minute walk to Town centre and definitely more than a mile or so. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are ok and clean which is all I really need, all in all a nice little hotel that I would both recommend and use again
Not enough Power in the water supply for the Shower but water lovely and hot
Clean sheets & bathroom, breakfast good
Sharing a block with council tenants who bang doors all through the night & early morning. Miserable staff. Not one single piece of fruit in my Pimms!!
no wifi in rooms
