Dining room and breakfast good. Good size rooms. Very friendly.
needs redecoration and update.
Staff was extremly friendly garden beautiful good bar sitting room for comfort
Shower black mould room small and basic nobody there when we arrived to check in Ceiling in dining room patched and boards nailed to cover damage Old chipboard furniture dying with age ,wardrobe door off a hinge drawer frontsdropping off had to push them back together, bedroom carpet stained.showe room really tiny ang grubby. Carpeted flooring causing smell when showerroom door had been closed. Overall it looks kike it had been dacorated and furnished in the late 60s or 70s and nothing done since..it defiantly can not be classed above 2* family run business and only encounted one person doing reception bar breakfast. Reported wardrobe door hanging off and this one person said he would fix it when he was doing the rooms, not surprisingly he didn't get round doing it.Sadly with all his good intentions it is to much to handle without other staff.I would say this hotel is suitable for workers needing a bed and breakfast only. With 4* hotels in the town with good clean modern roomsi would not go here again.we triied it because our usual hotel we use didnt have a room available when wr needed it
Problem with shower which Peter sorted straight away. Peter is also very informative!
The problem with shower

Nothing will never stay again. Looks like some work is being done to try to improve hotel.
Tatty bedroom furniture needs replacing, dirty bathroom, mould in shower basin, decor poor condition broken light fitting. Building looks run down.
Nothing - it needs the Hotel Inspector.
Everything. Avoid this hotel.
Good food evening meal and breakfast. Homely, relaxing atmosphere. Friendly and helpful manager. Very impressed with the Christmas decorations at the festive time that we stayed.
Peaceful for sleeping
HOt water took a while to reach my room for washing.
Dirty, small rooms with un-edible food served by owner who was eating at the next table.
Room size was okay
Really in the middle of nowhere and on a very busy road,so you couldn't open the double windows to get fresh air. Shower was one of the microscopic ones. Hardly adequete for the average older person
Very pleasant relaxing atmosphere
Staff conversation and information.
