Parking and room were good. Good value for money. Nice location. Evening meal was poor value. Breakfast was OK - but this is a training venue and more like a dormitory or student digs.

The location, orderliness, quality, views, access and parking, breakfast, security, beautiful village and surroundings Hassle at breakfast (insuficient capacity for number of residents), being charged wrong sum against booked price.

Staff were all very busy with the wedding but we eventually found someone to book us in. The room was cold as centrally thermostat However a radiator was bought straight to us . At booking there was no info to say that the hotel had a wedding . This meant that we were unable to get an evening meal. Luckily I had rung to see if I needed to book a table and was given this information. I then found a recommended pub which appeared to be nearby however it cost £22 each way for the taxi as ta i's have to come from Banbury as there is no local taxi service.

Handily placed for us to visit a couple of National T houses. Only booked in for one night, so difficult to fully appraise it .Free car parking was certainly appreciated. The warm welcome from reception staff was excellent. Had to travel to a local pub for our evening dinner, as the house menu was very limited. A common problem with cooked breakfast, not kept hot enough in that type of heating. Suggest a more powerful heating element above the food, would improve it. The choice of breakfast was fine.

I went to the MGB 50 Anniversary at Blenheim Palace, with a rare car (3 in the world) so safe parking was of paramount importance..no problem in that department..excellent parking! The Staff were very friendly and helpful as I was travelling alone. The location was first class, and the room was very pleasant and quiet. Only 10 minutes from Blenheim Palace, it is an ideal Hotel for visitors to the Cotswolds and surrounding area. In marks, 10 out of 10...Thanks for looking after me and the car !! Baked Beans at Breakfast were completely cold and hadn't been warmed up..but hey it was a 7.30 start !! Easily remedied, the breakfast apart from that was superb, and when the beans arrived again they were red hot !! The baths are very slippy, and a rubber bathmat would have been appreciated N.B.

fantastic location, comfy bed. Excelent breakfast, although seperate breakfasting rooms for the many groups of people on training / development courses means the hotel guests seem of secondary importance being the vast minority. A little off the beaten track, and although very clean and comfy the room was extremely basic (functional) and almost hostel like.

the main building, garden and surrounding countryside were stunning. theroom was q basic but comfortable. I thought that, as it is a conference centre, there would have been a larger evening menu. I had to drive to find a pub for my dinner, where I noticed another 3 residents were also dining. Also, at breakfast you had to make your own tea/coffee and toast and select your meal from hot plates - even small B+Bs prepare these for you. Also, I didn't like the way the windows opened - I didn't feel secure with them ajar in my room on the ground floor.

Location was nice and village pub good Would have liked room in main house. We felt very much like it was student accommodation and certainly not worth the money paid. Premier inns rooms are nicer!

Location & views Rooms tiny. Bed tiny & extremely uncomfortable. Sunday morning breakfast served 6:00am to 8:30am - appropriate for business/conferences but not for Sunday morning in the country! Same applies for weekend check out times. £140 per night definitely overpriced.

We met a few cleaning and maintenance staff. They, as well as the bar and reception staff were so polite and friendly. Things like that make a difference. The rooms are clean and functional. The breakfasts are yummy and plentiful and the location is magnificent. Rolling landscapes with some lovely villages close by. We are very lucky to have found this place so we are now regulars

The weather was very poor, which was a shame as the house is set in a fantastic rural location, with lovely views and fantastic Lakeland walks. The staff were very friendly with special praise to the two waiters come bar staff. Excellent service and a very professional attitude. Found at very high class hotels. My only criticism was that the menu at the time was extremely limited but that may have been because the hotel had only a few guests on that evening. In all it was a very pleasant good value break. Great quite location with beautiful grounds and large well appointed rooms in an historic building. Remote location. Somewhat understaffed, but likely due to no conference in progress while we were there - a good thing is some ways. Breakfast was disappointing. A buffet that did not keep choices warm, with some items looking and tasting like they had been out since the early start time - we came toward the end of advertised serving time, which ended at 8:45. To our surprise, with several diners in the room, some of which had just arrived, they cleared everything away and left no opportunity for refills or for some others even to get food!

I always use Bookings.com and because of accurate reviews I read I've always been happy with my accommodation. But this is the first time I'm awarding a hotel 10 out of 10
