The staff----absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them. The English Breakfast. Wow----set me up for the whole day!!!
The shower in our bedroom needed to be updated and upgraded
Location comfort cleanliness and it was very reasonable for food and drink
couldn't fault anything
Rooms clean and comfortable staff friendly great food in large restaurant lovely area with nice outlook
Too many stairs up to room a bit awkward with luggage needs a bit of a tidy up outside but nice surprise on entering
Nice location quieter than Keswick. Good value for money and a nice breakfast complete the picture. Dog friendly but not imposing on dog phobes.
Staff attitude friendly and helpful. Food and beer was excellent
Location and Food - Tom's Pie.
The welcome when we arrived Staff- especially Becky! Location Vicinity to local town (Keswick) Food
Room was close to another room where the extractor fan kept coming on every 30mins or so.
Enjoyed the breakfast and the staff were excellent.
Nothing in particular.
The helpful and friendly staff who all work very hard. The location is excellent for views but also being in easy reach of many of the high fell walks, Keswick and Whinlatter Forest Activity Centre.
Restaurant menu seemed restricted with a special always being fish - if you don't like fish this can be a problem as the remaining options did not change all week.
A good selection of excellent food and beers. Friendly, welcoming staff.
Food excellent Friendly staff
Staff are great, always smiling.Food is fab and great menu.Great choice of beers too.Lovely place to stay
Staff were very helpful, linen was of very good quality and the hotel was very clean. Because the hotel was full it was not possible to change my room but I was accommodated in a larger room on the first night. My colleague was contented with his room and the staff did what they could to enable him to access the first floor without climbing the stairs. The staff were very helpful all round.
Second night - Unfortunately my room being a single room and very small was very hot due to the weather and not being able to open a window, it was quite stifling. The plumbing from the next room went through the basin and shower of my room and at 12pm at night when next door came in and decided to have baths, showers etc. it was very noisy.
Excellent food, staff wonderful nothing was too much trouble. Rooms basic & clean but had everything you needed.
No Wi-Fi in room
Location for Coledale Horseshoe walk excellent.
Staff are very helpfully, room nice with a great view.food very good evening meal and breakfast one off the best I have ever had.bar very cosy and the girls on reception very friendly and helpfully.the owner is hands on and cheerful.
Can not think off one thing.
Great location, short drive from Keswick and great base for walking the local fells. Catbells only a 10 minute drive away, Whinlatter Forest Park also only 10 mins away by car. Friendly and helpful staff who love dogs and made us feel at home. Good selection on menu at a fair price and food was cooked well. Great selection of local beers and lovely home cooked scones!
Had to request clean cutlery twice, maybe the dishwasher was on strike! The cold selection at breakfast could have been a little more inspiring
The staff were extremely good and welcoming. The food and beer were great
The room was very hot due to the weather, however this usually isn't an issue in the Lake District.
Great room with a patio
Not used to dogs being inside
Friendly, welcoming staff. Excellent food served in the evenings.
1. The warmth with which you are welcomed on arrival. 2. View from room & lounge & dining area. 3. Easy access to local amenities and public transport. I would recommend Middle Ruddings country inn to all. Look forward to going back there.
Staff were very friendly, food was excellant. Location for the Lakes is perfect
Tempreture in the room overnight was insufferable it was far to hot. The onmly other bad thing which the hotel could not stop was the amount of noise banging of doors and in the morning the kitchen starting up.
Staying. Staff were rude, aesthetics of room were unpleasing at best. Uncomfortable mattresses, rooms too hot and the shower water pressure was like standing underneath an icicle slowly melting.
Apart from en-suite everything was very enjoyable and the staff delightful. Food good, weather good, all-in-all highly commendable
Needs a new bathroom
