Wonderful Great breakfast Fantastic hosts Loved it
Friendly service Peaceful and quiet location Comfortable bed Superb breakfast
Wendy and Andy made us feel like lifelong friends within minutes of arriving. The breakfast was excellent. The tea and coffee making facilities in the room were above average with biscuits and even a daily chocolate treat.
Nothing all good.
Location was great Breakfast was amazing... especially the black pudding Andy & Wendy were lovely Comfy Bed Parking available Short walk into Robin Hoods Bay
nothing to dislike
Views Food Atmosphere
Beautiful view of Robin's Hood Bay and the ocean! Also, the grounds had lots of flowers around a pond which was a very relaxing place.
We asked where we could do laundry and the proprietress offered to do our laundry and continued to offer even though at first we refused her. We did take her up on her offer then. At the end of the trip when we were paying she said we should pay for the loads of laundry too, though no mention of payment had been made before then. This was not being up front.
Wendy's welcome, super breakfasts, lovely views, delightful rooms, felt totally 'at home'
Bathroom for Room 4 a little small but very minor point.
Everything most satisfactory
Nothing I can think of
Wonderful hospitality, amazing views across the countryside to the sea at Robin Hood's Bay. Wendy was a marvelous host, facilities excellent, breakfast superb. All in all the best B&B we have ever stayed at. Highly recommend.
Leaving to come home!
Nothing to dislike
Owners very welcoming and friendly Bedroom and it`s facilities 1st class Perfect view of countryside and sea from bedroom Breakfast absolutely 1st class, excellent varied choice and freshly cooked and served piping hot Nothing too much trouble for the charming owners a real home from home
Having to leave at the end of our stay!!!!!
very small ensuite in what was a 'luxury' double room breakfast was served to us in a poky 'overflow dining room'
The cleanliness of the accommodation, the friendliness of the owners. The brilliant views from the rooms overlooking the bay, we were at the rear of the building with a garden view, but will book further in advance next time.
The rear room was small, but it was fine for just 2 nights.
Fab welcome from hosts with a hot drink on arrival. Our room was superb with a fantastic sea view. Delicious plentiful breakfast with excellent choice. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt really at home. Everything was spotlessly clean and the location was very quiet.
Nothing at all.
my wife and I spent the weekend there, loved it, very comfortable, great view from our room, overlooking Robinhooods Bay. Breakfast was very tasty and generous. We both loved it, definitely recommended
the hosts hospitality cleanliness location
there was nothing not to like
I asked for balloon and chocs for husbands bday (at my expense of course) for arrival and they were there when I arrived. Lovely room overall. Breakfast yummy. Friendly owners, location fab, lovely place.
Shower room was small and had sink in between there and loo so was hard to move around. Eating breakfast on a table for 4 with another couple who didn't know, prefer separate tables but no big deal. Bed quite soft but know alot of people like that.
Tranquillity & Beauty, Friendliness and Hospitality of the Yorkshire People. Especially the Friendliness of Wendy & Andy our Hosts. Thank You Both.
Not having spent long enough there, going home was a wrench. Roll on the next time.
The view from our bedroom, friendly hosts, parking, location to Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay.
The beds are very narrow and very uncomfortable. There is no common area, except for the tiniest breakfast room.
I came from a Perth in Western Australia and was holidaying with my Sister from Essex. I found Middlethorpe on the Internet, it was everything and more than advertised. Andy and Wendy were fantastic hosts, the guest house was great and the views took my breath away. I would certainly stay there again and would recommend Middlethorpe to anyone traveling through Yorkshire
