Besonders schön war der Aperitif im Park und das anschließend wirklich großartige Abendessen im Hotelrestaurant. Köstlicher Obstsalat zum Frühstück! Das sog. Spa erfüllt nicht die Anforderungen eines Kontinentaleuropäers. Sehr dürftige sanitäre Einrichtungen! Die Lage an der Durchgangsstrasse und die (Geräusch-) Nähe zur Autobahn waren nicht deutlich gemacht. |

The setting was lovely including beautiful gardens, the food excellent (but see below), the staff generally excellent (but see below). The arrival was a bit of a disaster - directions on website very poor - lost for nearly 2 hours. The room had no tea etc. making facilities and the instructions to guests which we are told pointed out that these were available on request was missing. The bath was masked by a fixed glass screen that made it very difficult to run bath or shower. Dinner was nearly an hour late. Mineral water served warm and our request for ice initially ignored. However after we had a bit of a snit service thereafter was excellent. Food though generally good to excellent over 2 nights (crab starter far too salty, chicken rather bland) was very expensive. |

Tremendous room. We stayed in a cottage with 2 bedrooms and a full sized enclosed garden. Meals in hall were a treat if a little posh. Service was highly attentive. No internet in room. |

Both grounds and gardens beautiful. The rooms were stuffy and overcrowded whilst the bathroom was very small...at breakfast served with jam pots that had been previously opened and partly used when this was mentioned it was not addressed as unacceptable. |

Very nicely furnished and very comfortable. Good, and convenient, spa facilities. Superb gardens/surroundings. Close enough to city (10 minutes taxi) for convenience, yet rural setting. Good food. Advertised WiFi throughout the hotel, however I could only get a usable signal in one of the reception rooms and no signal at all in the room. If I'd been on a business trip this would have been a problem. |

The gardens were lovely, the bed and pillows were superb, the decor was magnificent. The staff deserve every praise for their professionalism and friendliness. Even though there was room service, it would have been rather nice to have been able to make one's own cup of tea in one's room. |
