Location Victorian building Town centre History
This hotel is beautiful, excellent value for money and the staff were courtious and friendly. I would have no hesitation in staying here again in the future. Kudos
- Perfect location - Friendly staff - Room was small, but nice enough
- Horrible Room Service. I had a broken shower for 2 days (my whole stay period) and it wasn't fixed. Although I had informed 2 of the staff at the reception. - I asked for a toothpaste during my stay (there was none in the bathroom) and I didn't get it.
Breakfast service rubbish
it's a really gg goodybag texts hotel with nice people and huge hotel rooms.
Grand architecture with wonderful entrance from car park. Well located with free parking.
Staff although pleasant did not seem that knowledgeable.
Wonderful old hotel, nice location, for a downtown hotel very quiet. Loved the atmosphere. Breakfast was better than most. Very friendly staff. We were provided 2 rooms, instantly, when the single room, allowing for 3 adults was not ready. Free parking. Train station within feet of the back door.
Excellent all over. Including the mannerism of the staff mainly the reservation manager Joanne and Lee the one of the night staff on duty
Staff were excellent, looked after us well. They couldn't of done more!
Overall facilities comfortable, convenience near train station.
Kettle needs updating to loading and switch-off safety. No ventilation from window, I would like these in place for next booking as I would stay again.
Beds were comfy staff were friendly. Room was nice and clean.
Despite going to breakfast for 4 mornings and dinner 1 eve had to ask for highchair each time and wait a long time for it to arrive, tap was wobbly in bathroom had to hold it to move from hot to cold had to remake beds each day as when pulled back covers everything came loose and unmade. Very noisy outside hotel pedestrian crossing bleeped constantly
reception staff sorted out any problems quickly and efficiently. They were friendly and very accomodating
Decent-sized, comfortable room. Good welcome and poliye staff. A decent-value stay.
The room, while modern and comfortable could have been a little cleaner. Didn't look like the carpet had been vacuumed very thoroughly and given the class of hotel that was a little disappointing. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.
Breakfest was not included
Dinner - the food was excellent, they must hold onto the chef! Unusually for a hotel the food served room service was also very good, and even hot! The public areas of the hotel - smart, clean, and well maintained, even the carpet on the impressive staircase. The staff - excellent! The bathroom shower, modern, powerful, and efficient.
Almost total lack of power sockets - the only one was almost on floor and behind a heavy wardrobe - back breaking to get to. Stifling heat in room, even with windows open.
Great location, very friendly staff, clean room, comfort bed and very nice bathroom !! You can have freshly prepared/cooked breakfast !
Nothing too important. The only thing is that the TV screen is quite small, but this is only an issue if you would like to seat and watch TV in your room.
Facilities like mini refrigerator, iron, Free wifi English Breakfast
Not very spacious.
Reception parking breakfast bed was comfy
en-suite was inferior. noise bedroom-dated and grubby looking
Room, breakfast choice, facilities
Nothing to dislike
Went to my best friends wedding and had a fab day.
As we booked our room through booking.com the payment had already been taken, on departure the receptionist said we hadn't paid and was very very rude about it! Another lovely member of staff sorted it for us in the end. Despite this we enjoyed our stay but that lady needs to learn people skills.
Nice to have bar on site that sells real ale.
Beautiful old hotel, had smoking room which was amazing for the smokers, hot tub, iron etc free wifi etc all included at a very cheap price, better than your standard lodge hotels etc but just as cheap, rooms noise proof
The other triple room, needs refurbishing, as it's very old looks tatty compared to the updated smoking room, no ac was very hot.(hotel is old so it's understandable but it has to be updated & when I say old I don't mean run down, it's a beautiful hotel)
we could take our well behaved Springer spaniel with us.
As soon as we entered the hotel there was a sense of comfort which for me personally is vital. The staff were quick and efficient with the booking procedure. Overall, it was an excellent stay. Would highly recommend.
We booked the midland hotel lastminute, as we needed somewhere to stay for a night before travelling back to London. The hotel was in the centre of Bradford and offered parking and breakfast as part of the evening's stay. The hotel was a real step back in time to the age of Victorian glamour. The rooms themselves were more modern and were clean and spacious. The breakfast in the morning was well cooked but the portions were small. Luckily it was part of our stay but we would not have paid the £13 price they were charging otherwise. Reception staff were friendly and informative and there was there was the option to the use an offsite gym for free. Whilst visiting Bradford we decided to have a look around the national media museum. It was free to enter and covered everything from nature film making to animation. Lots to see, well worth a visit and only a short stroll from the hotel.
