Room recently refurbished and big. Good design. Free Wifi.
Bedspread was very heavily stained and had to leave it outside the room it was so disgusting. In the morning the shower only produced cold water. I was rushing out and did not have time to deal with these issues in the morning but it has been 3 days and i have yet to hear anything from the hotel. Very poor!
Access to the bedroom was poor had no lift access had to go 3 flights of stairs with a suitcase and another bag to come Down to check out had to do it by each flight of stairs and had to keep going back for either the bag or the suitcase
The room was lovely, and it was easy to get into town from here. Plus it has 2 amazing Indian restaurants just up the street - the Shalimar being the one we ate at.
I was surprised at how many things were dirty - the blanket on the bed, the door hangar, the bathroom walls. It was nothing major just showed a lack of attention to detail when cleaning, which I wouldn't expect at a 4-star hotel
Location perfect, easy to park, great bar-lounge area for meetings, bedroom also smart and welcoming
Only one gripe - the breakfast was quite grim. Poor service, shrivelled smoked haddock, no cheese to go with ham, no bread rolls, etc.
The creaking floor.
Clean and tidy. Staff very good at register and leaving hotel.
Only two milks left in room. A little past its best in room decore.
Lovely ensuite room, everything top notch. Located by the station with buses into the centre or a short walk out of hours.
A little expensive by my usual standards but worth it for the quality service.
Shower difficult to operate
Welcoming staff Stay was great Buffet breakfast was fantastic
Feedback: Turnover of food not quick enough as I witnessed people waiting for certain breakfast items
Loved the architecture of the hotel, the quality and comfort of the bed.
I regret not being in the old part of the building- if I need to stay in Derby I'll request this next time. Not that there is anything wrong with the new bit!
Very impressive hotel lobby and restaurant
Small room with no view and noisy air con.
It's okay in general. Most services and facilities are up to standard.
A bit far away from town centre. It takes 10 minutes walking from the hotel to the town centre. But it is convenient for you to take the railway as it located beisde the railway station.
The room was lovely, buffet breakfast was nice and staff very friendly/ helpful
Came for a wedding evening reception. All was lovely.
The price of the drinks was very expensive and I think you would sell more if you reduced the prices
Comfortable and quiet. Good nights sleep. Breakfast was good with many choices.
I liked the location. The room was clean and well furnished. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was good pressure and nice hot water. Reception we're welcoming friendly and helpful
The dining room was a bit cramped. Virtually sitting at each other's tables. Food was good but quite a limited choice.
Overall the hotel was very nice with a lovely garden, especially at night. I'm sure i'll be back soon
I booked a double room which was massive but the only down side was that the bed was two singles placed together, which is normal for hotels to do. However, one bed was higher than the other so it meant that i kept rolling onto my partner all night. This is the only downside during my stay
Free, convenient parking Spacious room Quite but central location. close to station
Decor a little tired.
Reception and waitress staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms spacious. Good meal in the restaurant and reasonable prices.
Found rooms to be quite hot without heating on.
They never apologised for mistakes.
big and clean room
no lift for the wing I was staying in
The location is good for train travel and walking into the centre. The bar area is relaxing and well stadfed
The receptionist that checked us in had very little customer service skills and was quite offhand. The hotel wasn't full but our early check in request was not fulfilled. The hotel is a little tired looking and the doors and other areas look grubby and unkempt. There's a fan in each room and you need it, we found the hotel yo be over warm and stuffy
Spot on. Close to everything with good parking good staff. Not the cheapest but fair.
Dated decor in our room could do with a make over.
Free car parking, location - 10 mins walk to city shops.
The room we were in every floorboard squeaked the bathroom light above the mirror flickered on and off then eventually went off. There was enough dust in the corner of the bathroom top that I could write my name in it. Lipstick on the glass in the bathroom. The bedroom was so hot in the night that i had heatstroke in the morning and when I went to say in the morning I got as far as the floorboards to be told that that room the boards squeak for about 4 weeks of the year. What! The receptionist didnt want to know
