Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was having a xmas meal and although we could have booked a place, the vegetarian options were not great, so we ate elsewhere.

My Wife & I came up to see our Son & Family at Selby, When we arrived we found our room ideal, since we had requested a ground floor location, the Receptionist was help full & easy to talk with. We felt the room was very comfortable, it was however very cold with no heating in operation, but I soon worked out how the heating system operated & placed it in immediate operation, it quickly got nice & warm in our room. Whilst the Reception told us about the Dinning available no one passed on any info that the room would be stone cold & how to sort it out, I write this not as a direct complaint but rather an observation. So it may help other visitors. The milk & tea supply it was very sparse !, I dont know how old the milk tiny container's were but they did taste horrible & spoilt the taste of the tea itself, to the extent we went & bought some milk from the local Super Market, since the supplied milk, was foul in taste. It really would give a good first impression if the room to be occupied was pre- heated prior to arrival particularly during the winter months, we had made a very long journey from the South West, & the last thing we wanted was to have to sort out the room heating, on a cold November day. Other than these two issues we were well pleased, it's a matter of the important fine details being sorted out, We would come back !

Very clean room Having to drive to the nearest town to get cash to pay for my stay after I thought I had paid by cc. This needs to be made clearer when booking.

Very comfortable room, everything was new looking and the heated floor in the bathroom was fabulous. Service at reception was very good. Not really a dislike but it was a shame that the restaurant was not available in the evening due to a private function. The hotel was however good enough to telephone me in advance to warn me.

Hotel offered dinner up to 10pm very helpful as we were running late. Friendly and efficient check in and we got a free upgrade to a superior room with a large widescreen television and the bed was very comfortable. Dinner whilst not of the highest standard and, although nominally set price, irritatingly most courses involved supplements, was acceptable. No water pressure for the shower in the morning, very annoying. Also we couldn't get the bedroom cool enough and it would be nice to have the opportunity of an opening window for fresh air. Rather disorganised at breakfast, no menu on the table, orange juice was running out and unfortunately my seat backed on to where the cutlery was being replaced with a consistent clattering noise.

Polite and friendly staff - to us and the dog. Bright, clean room. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. All just what we wanted. The surroundings are pretty drab but hoplefully that will be improved once the proposed extentions are done. Nothing's been done since we stayed two years ago but we live in hope. An area of field to walk dogs would be useful as there is so much rubbish along the surrounding roads. Why not organise a staff litter pick and grass cut and get some good local publicity out of it? It must be worth giving them all a free meal afterwards!

Visited the Milford before and could not wait to visit again just to visit the Watermill Restaurant which offers exellent food which is really well presented and would not be out of place in a michelin star restaurant. Rooms are really well presented and bathrooms have heated tiled floors. Breakfast is exellent and the staff are very helpful this hotel is well worth a visit and has good access to Leeds, Harrogate, Castleford and York. Location is slighly remote with very little around however plus points of the hotel make you forget this.

It was excellent value for money and the hotel staff were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. The beds were comfy and the dinner was reasonably priced and tasty. I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a good value place to stay. The reviews I sometimes read about hotels are not accurate, however the good reviews of this hotel which lead me to book it were all spot on.

The staff were proactive to our needs and the service was excellent. The quilt and pillows were not comfortable - we took the quilt out of its cover as it was too hot and the pillows were too soft and not supportive. A light blanket as an alternative would be a great idea. The shower head was broken but didn't prevent us having a shower. We brought this to the attention of the staff and they thanked us and said it would be attended to.

Having restaurant on site good. Breakfasts particularly good. Having a teapot in the rooms is important to me. Quietness good ....I am a light sleeper so having the quiet from roads was good. This was obviously a new hotel so fixtures new. Shower was brilliant. Staff generally very helpful as they were when I had a query regarding my onling booking. I felt that care had been taken to make us welcome and comfortable considering the value. Room temp good when air con was on but it was too noisy to have on during the night and so rooms became stuffy. A common problem in hotels! Would have liked a sheet under my duvet and also a stool at the mirror as I had to pull up one of the arm chairs to use the mirror for "close" work on face!!

It exceeded our expectations. We booked last minute and was surprised how good it was. We were there for Leeds Festvial and it was a perfect little gem for us. The rooms were so spacious, the bathrooms were really modern and clean and the beds were sooo comfy. The breakfast was additional but it lovely, just what we needed to start our day! Nothing everything was perfect. Ive tried booking for next year and its already booked! :-(

Good hotel, helpful staff, nice rooms. Rooms were a bit stuffy because windows didn't open. Air conditioning was fine cooling the room but didn't help the stuffiness.
