Best Western Milford Hotel  

Our whole expereince of this hotel was excellent. We used the hotel as an overnight stop on route from Norfolk to Northumberland for a holiday as it has close access to the A1. The room was high quality and immaculately clean. We had already eaten on route which was a shame as the restaraunt looked very good and indeed it was when we took breakfast the next morning. A shame we only had the one night there but we will definately be using again in route to other locations - well done to the excellent staff there.

The location was right for me, it was easy to find and within easy reach of Leeds. The staff were very helpful, polite and efficient, the room was clean airy and comfortable wih good access to free WiFi. The whole feel of the place made me feel relaxed

A very comfortable hotel in an extremely convenient location for our purposes with really friendly and helpful staff. The room was very comfortable and well furnished and the en-suite was beautiful. The restaurant is very relaxing and the food is good quality and reasonably priced. All-in-all we really couldn't fault the Milford and would be more than happy to stay there again.

Second visit and it was as good as the first time... Food is great.. Relaxing...

A quick return stay for 1 night but found both the reception staff and the restaurant staff great. The evening meal was very good value. The room was warm, comfortable, very adequate and extremely clean.

Found it hard to locate (by car) at night (in the dark). My sat nav broke so it would have been useful if the road no. could be used on the address in addition to the name i.e, Gt North Rd. (i think).

We didnt know what to expect. First time there.... Friendly helpful staff.. Food was excellant. Room was very clean and comfortable. Slept very well... We will return.

My Wife & I came up to see our Son & Family at Selby, When we arrived we found our room ideal, since we had requested a ground floor location, the Receptionist was help full & easy to talk with. We felt the room was very comfortable, it was however very cold with no heating in operation, but I soon worked out how the heating system operated & placed it in immediate operation, it quickly got nice & warm in our room. Whilst the Reception told us about the Dinning available no one passed on any info that the room would be stone cold & how to sort it out, I write this not as a direct complaint but rather an observation. So it may help other visitors.

The milk & tea supply it was very sparse !, I dont know how old the milk tiny container's were but they did taste horrible & spoilt the taste of the tea itself, to the extent we went & bought some milk from the local Super Market, since the supplied milk, was foul in taste. It really would give a good first impression if the room to be occupied was pre- heated prior to arrival particularly during the winter months, we had made a very long journey from the South West, & the last thing we wanted was to have to sort out the room heating, on a cold November day. Other than these two issues we were well pleased, it's a matter of the important fine details being sorted out, We would come back !

Great friendly staff, superior room was really good for the money, no complaints what so ever, would stop again there any time.

Hotel offered dinner up to 10pm very helpful as we were running late. Friendly and efficient check in and we got a free upgrade to a superior room with a large widescreen television and the bed was very comfortable. Dinner whilst not of the highest standard and, although nominally set price, irritatingly most courses involved supplements, was acceptable.

No water pressure for the shower in the morning, very annoying. Also we couldn't get the bedroom cool enough and it would be nice to have the opportunity of an opening window for fresh air. Rather disorganised at breakfast, no menu on the table, orange juice was running out and unfortunately my seat backed on to where the cutlery was being replaced with a consistent clattering noise.

Polite and friendly staff - to us and the dog. Bright, clean room. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. All just what we wanted.

The surroundings are pretty drab but hoplefully that will be improved once the proposed extentions are done. Nothing's been done since we stayed two years ago but we live in hope. An area of field to walk dogs would be useful as there is so much rubbish along the surrounding roads. Why not organise a staff litter pick and grass cut and get some good local publicity out of it? It must be worth giving them all a free meal afterwards!
