Very beautiful, good food
Uncomfortable beds and poor sound insulation. We were above reception and could hear noise for people checking out
Staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was also very good.
The room we had was a bit tired and needed redecoration. The bathroom was not of a high standard and needs refurbishment.
LOCATION ATMOSPHERE FOOD OWNERS AND STAFF
The receptionist was first class and very helpful.
Bar meal Fish & Chips was poor and so was the response to our complaint
Beautiful building excellent service, food was fantastic
Nothing a great place to stay
The overall experience Location Grounds Great for dogs. Breakfast Fireworks!
Restaurant closed on one night due to charity function. Tired, dated interior decoration.
Hotel very nice.
Breakfast should start earlier, 8.00am is a bit late . Option for 7 or 7.30 woulds be good.
Liked the décor and the history Relaxed friendly atmosphere Quick service when required Excellent food
False fire alarm at 4am, but that can happen to any public building. The staff handled the problem well. Creaky bed Handrails not available in bath/shower, not good for older persons like us !
friendly staff, nice afternoon snack food and breakfast, a helpful informal pick up from the train station (as no taxis in the village!)
although the bed linen was spotlessly clean the rooms could do with a really good deep clean and some minor repairs. We did think the nightly rate was a little bit high with this in mind
Peace and tranquilty staff excellent food excellent all together a lovely stay.
People slamming doors at night when coming in.
Great location Friendly relaxed atmosphere
The staff took very good care of us. Treated us great.
Welcoming and professional staff. The outdoor seating area was attractive and the grounds provided a good setting. Lunch was good and not too large, and the breakfast selection pleased all six of us. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean.
Nothing I can think of for this section.
Travelling with 3 dogs, the hotel staff made us all feel very welcome. Ideal base for walking and sight seeing. Hotel was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Food was excellent. Staff went out of their way to help us and meet our requirements, we will definitely recommend to friends and will visit again.
Was a little noisy from upstairs.
The setting, food and the room
The bed was very hard and the pillows were uncomfortable. The bathroom needed a blind too.
location / menue / gardens/ peaceful.
Bedroom 15 Shower pressure very weak.
We were attending a wedding nearby so the location was perfect for us and the sun was shining which meant that the beautiful outside dining area was being put to good use (I expect that's not always the case, even in June). Kingham is a beautiful town.
The service at breakfast was a bit below par. There was really only one member of staff trying to do everything at a fairly peak Sunday breakfast time so it was probably a bit slower and less well stocked than at other times. The poor man looked quite frazzled.
Location and staff were excellent, Food was really lovely , would not hesitate to return
only let down was the room , clean but very dated . informed on leaving that they are in the middle of updating rooms , and was shown one that had been done , very nice
Godd comfortable beds. Breakfasts excellent. We did not try the restaurant as we ate out. Can recommend the Blue Boar and Criwn and Cushion in Chipping Norton.A wonderful country hotel with great views.
Maybe a little remote for our personal taste. Luckily the weather was good so walks were pleasant.
Friendliness, attitude and politeness. The food, presentation, service were faultless.
The bedroom we stayed in could do with an upgrade, especially the bathroom. A lick of paint to the marked walls would be good.
We were delighted with the hotel. The food was excellent and the staff helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.
The room was a bit small but very comfortable with a nice newly refurnished bathroom. As we were told it was the only room available when we booked last minute we were not disappointed, especially on a Bank Holiday weekend
We spent a lovely couple of nights at the hotel. Spacious and comfortable room, good food and pleasant and helpful staff.
Nothing to criticise at all.
The food was very good and the staff very friendly. Pretty location. Good bar atmosphere used by the locals
The room was adequate but a little tired.
Everything was fine apart from the TV problem.
TV only appeared to have one channel but as we were okay without we did not ask about it.
Friendliness and competence Rooms very clean Food excellent and well presented
I have an allergy to lillies so found them overpowering- also some in pots were nearly dead suggest where flowers are used they be fragrance free Also we found that the dining room was cold as was the bedroom
