Maria on reception desk could not have been more friendly and helpful. Also all restaurant staff were extremely accommodating. Cups in room were too small for a cup of tea.minor point but if I stayed there agin I would bring my own mug.

Warm Welcome, friendly & attentive staff. Nothing too much trouble for this family run hotel. Small upgrading required to bathroom although we understand that this already within a work programme.

the food was good but the servcie was very poor We ordered a double but got two singles put together. It was our anniverssary so I din't appreciate sleeping in the crack between the two beds. The restaurant served the food long before we had our wine. When chased they said it was coming - 20 minutes later, we were certainly not impressed.

Relaxed atmosphere. Very pleasant and knowledgeable staff. Food was excellent. The bathroom fittings are looking a bit old and could do with an upgrade.

The staff were friendly and very very attentive. The hotel is set in 10 acres of grounds, mostly grass with the river running through the grounds, very calming and quiet. We will stay again. A bit dated but work to re-vamp is scheduled this autumn / winter. The headboards should be uniform as the ones in place let the look of the rooms down. The re-vamp should correct the interesting colours in some of the rooms. The bathroom fans need to be replaced as they are a tad loud. These are all little things that can be corrected quite easily.

We enjoyed a stay at Mill House a few years ago so when planning a short visit to the Cotswolds decided to book there again. The hotel is charming, the food excellent, the room comfortable and the staff helpful, friendly and very efficient. A delightful break.

Comfortable and quiet. Ideal location. The food (dinner and breakfast) were outstanding. Surprisingly so as the decor and surroundings suggested the food might be rather traditional and unexcitingSo much so, we very nearly decided to eat at the Plough! Glad we didnt. You should make more of the food in your publicity. Compliments to the Chef! Rooms rather tired. Dust under the radiator. Difficult to find a convenient plug for kettle and hairdrier. Shower over bath in awkward place so showering difficult. But good value for money. If they upgraded furniture/fittings/ you could easily justify charging £150 a night.

The staff were excellent, friendly and accommodating. We did not stay for an evening meal but the food at breakfast and service was to a high standard. The building was quaint and had character as it was old, my partner loved the stone floor entrance. This hotel is clean and tidy and good value for money. As it was Easter there were complementary chocolate bunnys which was a nice touch. Good location for surrounding activity's, we would stay here again. In our room the shower did not adjust much in height for my tall boyfriend had seen better days, could do with some updating. But apart from that an excellent stay.

Value and location. Dated facilities - bit like staying at your grannies house. The bathroom in our room was shabby and the shower felt like you were being sprayed with super heated steam. Not good.
