Pleasant and extremely helpful reception staff and courteous efficient bar and restaurant staff. Good facilities reasonably priced The only thing that I would nitpick about would be the toiletries and refreshment trays were not the quality you would expect from a top end hotel, they were definitely low budget- however this is, as stated, only a minor observation |

Within walking distance of the town centre. Lovely meal in the dining room. The pool and spa is ideal and the staff were all friendly and did all they could to make us feel welcome. We will definitely recommend it and will hopefully return ourselves soon. We personally didn't have a problem but if we had arrived later we may not have been able to get into the car park. |

The near city centre location. The breakfast: The fruit ,coffee and croissants were fine. Bacon, sausage and toast bread were completely lacking in taste and quality. My suspicions are that these breakfast items were procured from the nearby Tesco store and were of the Tesco 'Value' quality. For this supposed standard of hotel it was unacceptable. The scrambled eggs were left to stand under the hot lights and developed a thick dry skin, the other breakfast items were left for long periods under the same hotlights. All in all a very poor excuse for an English breakfast. |

We had a complimentary upgrade from the room we had originally booked, as the lift on the reception side of the building wasn't working, so worked out great for us! Room was spacious, very comfortable and had everything you would expect in a hotel. Spa was also excellent. Also, as we stayed at the weekend, I would consider it good value for money. The breakfast....lacked choice, ie sausage, bacon, hash brown and egg, there were no beans, mushrooms, tomatoes or fried bread. As this was a buffet style, it was also "luke warm" to be kind! |

I liked the location of this hotel and the spa and swimming pool Hotel was very busy and seems to be really popular with local people Parking away from the hotel and having to carry bags to car park (shopping trip break) |

Very good dining experience. Food was excellent and the staff were attentive and very friendly without being pushy. Room was a little small and not very well planned. |

I liked the fact that the hotel was so close to the centre of Chester The breakfast was not brilliant - everything could have been cooked for longer - the sausage and bacon was anaemic! |

It was central to the shops and bars No not really, but was not happy with the glasses, they had not been washed properly and still had lip stick marks on them both, these were the glasses in our bedroom, and now i have a great cold sore on my mouth, i think due to that, so therefore was not happy. |

We enjoyed our short stay of two nights. The food in the canalletto was very good and well served. the bar was good in the evening with live jazz on one evening. Our room was very good except that the bathroom floor would benefit from a good clean with bleach We have the same tiles at home and are much cleaner than the hotels other than that everything was very good. |

We were allocated a club room next to the busy road. We asked to be moved to a quieter room and although the hotel was full on the first night, we were indeed moved to a much nicer room for our second night. The road noise is a real problem. There is no air con so any windows really need to be open. It was unseasonally warm during our stay and we were unable to sleep with the windows open because of the busy main road. |

The selection of real ale on offer in the bar is always fantastic as is the location in relation to all of the major attraction Chester has to offer. The hotel was far too hot during our stay and the car parking arrangements are not the best. |

Nice hotel in good position with free car parking. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and staff were very efficient. Hotel could benefit from air conditioning or fans in rooms and queues at breakfast were a little off putting if you wished to eat between 9am and 10am |
