Food & beverage

The Canaletto Restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner and offers both a table d’hote menu and an à la carte menu during the week. On Friday and Saturday evenings, the restaurant hosts a Dine & Dance with music until 01:00. Excellent offers are available for guests staying in the hotel.

The Flambe Steak Restaurant is open in the evenings from Sunday to Thursday and the Peppermill Trattoria and the Real Ale Bar serve an extensive range of homemade dishes.

The unique Restaurant Cruiser sails daily for both lunch and dinner. The cruise lasts two and a half hours and all food is freshly prepared in the hotel’s main kitchen. The cruiser is centrally heated and has a licensed bar, toilets and a dance floor available for private parties of under 40. The cruise negotiates 2 locks and takes you to parts of Chester that no other method of transport is able to reach.

The hotel has 129 rooms, including standard and club class rooms. The accommodation is divided between the north and the south wings of the hotel, which are located on either side of the Shropshire Union Canal. The two buildings are joined by a unique glass-walled footbridge over the canal. The club class rooms are situated in the south wing building. Each room has one king-size double bed and a double sofa bed, making them also suitable for families.

The Mill Hotel and Spa is a city centre hotel, just 3 minutes' walk from Chester's main high street. Situated alongside Chester Shropshire Union Canal, with excellent views of Chester city centre.

Travel information

By Car (from the M6):
- Take junction 20 onto the M56.
- Then follow the M56 until junction 15, where you move onto the M53.
- Follow the M53 until you reach junction 12, where you move onto the A56.
- Carry on to the next roundabout and go straight ahead.
- Remain on the A56 until you reach the next roundabout (2.4 km / 1.5 miles).
- Take the 1st junction left (A5268).
- Take the 1st left into Cellar Street and then the 2nd left into Milton Street.

For all group reservations (more than three rooms), we require full pre-payment 2 weeks prior to the arrival date. If you cancel a group reservation later than 14 days prior to the date of arrival we will charge the first night.
