The location and the appearance of both The Mill and Old Swan are picturesque. Rather than a restaurant all meals were taken in the Old Swan, with roaring log fires and olde worlde atmosphere. |

Very good value rooms, nicely furnished in the usual De Vere style, fridge, flatscreen TV, etc. Friendly receptionists. Some rooms are in a long annexe, and some are a long walk from the main reception (this was fine for me but it would have been nice to have been offered a choice or at least informed up front). The Old Swan pub itself is a bit corporate and low on atmosphere. |

The setting is beautiful The room was drafty and quite noisy, I think from the heating system. I had to park behind the pub opposite, as a female travelling alone I was uncomfortable walking from the car park to the hotel in the dark. |

very friendly staff, good breakfast, nice layout and attractive buildings My room (139) was very hot and I couldn't turn the radiator off. I asked for something to be done about it but nothing was done. There were also spiders in my bath (and quite a lot of cobwebs). The room didn't smell very nice either. |

We stayed in the Old Swan and found the room clean, warm, and comfortable. The staff were friendly, chatty and eager to help. We found some of the negative comments left by others off-putting but were pleased to find them unfounded during our stay. As with any hotel there were some minor niggles (nowhere can be perfect for everyone) but they are barely worth mentioning other than perhaps the breakfast costs which we would suggest could be reviewed, for a couple that only wanted a couple of slices of toast each a £15.00 set charge is a bit steep! |

We had a lovely stay at The Mill and Old Swan. We opted for the breakfast which was good value for money. The setting was idylllic and we loved the room.We found the hotel to be well situated for exploring the Cotswolds. |

The staff were very friendly and helpful The room was cold. I didn't think the cleaning of the room was very good. The crockery in the restaurant at breakfast was dirty. Food was not replenished. |

This is a lovely, quiet little hotel in the heart of the English countryside. A great place to use as a base to explore Oxford and the Cotswolds. Good, reasonably priced food and really friendly staff. Highly recommended. The public spaces were a bit cold - despite the roaring log fires. There is little in the way of facilities - no snacks available, no hot chocolate. |

comfortable bed, clean bathroom our room was quite a distance from the main reception, not very good if you have poor mobility and it is raining. Not enough milk, coffee, tea etc. and initially no towels in the bathroom, later amended. The dinner menu was rather expensive so did not eat there. As we had a special rate the above did not matter too much but if we had had to pay the normal amount it certainly would not have been worth it. |

The hotel has real style, it is comfortable, the restaurant excellent and the location wonderful. Would love to return! Breakfast finishes at 9.30 which is much too early and it should realign to 10.00 - as most hotels. Also, checkout at 10.00 is too early, a big rush - and spoils the experience |

The hotel staff were extremely courteous and couldn't do enough to help and nothing was too much trouble - the food was excellent , I would certainly recommend this hotel and as such I have already rebooked a weekend in January 2010. |

We found the cost of wine very expensive. The breakfast was good but sadly let down by the state of the eggs. |

The room was very comfortable and cosy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The whole stay, including meals was good value for money. It would have been useful if there was a mirror in the bedroom. The bathroom was fine for my make-up but it would have been useful to have somewhere for drying and straightening my hair. |

The setting of the hotel was extremely peaceful and was a great base from which to explore the Cotswolds and the unique towns and villages in the area. Could have done with some more coffee/tea/milk |
