Millennium Madejski Hotel  

Fabulous time in the hotel. We all loved it. Relaxing after the day in Legoland. Our kids (5 and 2) liked the pool. Family friendly.

The professional approach considering it was full of very wet & cold people (myself included) who ran the Reading Half Marathon!

The Staff were very friendly at the hotel and also very helpful, the rooms were nice, comfy and very clean as were the on-suites. It was a basic double room we stayed in, so I imagine the suites and club rooms would be well worth the money. The bar area and facilities were up to standard for a hotel of this kind also, it is high end furnished and decorated through out. Wonderful stay had by us.

Nothing to dramatic, but we were on the 1st floor and being a Saturday night, we must have been over a function room as there was loud music till quite late on, but it wasn't that bad that you couldn't sleep, but may affect others.

On my stay the staff were friendly and attentive at all times. We were made to feel so welcome and nothing seemed to be a problem for any of the staff.

Upon arrival I was told by the receptionist if I wanted to eat I had to wait an hour and fifteen minutes, or pay a room service surcharge, receptionist did not tell me what floor my room was on or where the lifts were, or what time checkout was

This hotel has had its day!! The staff were not interested the Cafe food was awful and expensive don't eat there......in fact don't stay there ..... you are not a guest you are a customer!! I bet NO footballers stay there!! They should be more football orientated and have some incentives for football interested kids ...... Play a bit more on the relationship with the football club.....shame it should have been sooo good...........

Atrium Bar was a really nice place for a drink and a meal. Cheaper than the other two restaurants. Bit noisy when party on upstairs. Room lovely and clean, massive bed. Excellent function room. Food was lovely.

Nothing else around the hotel other than the stadium. Fine for us as thats why we went there. Forgot our toothpaste and had to pay £1 for the tiniest tube ever with a toothbrush, I didnt need a toothbrush!

Bright modern hotel very conveniently located for the rugby.

Rooms were large and airy with plenty of space to work with good wi-fi accessibility. There were available a good section of magazines in the room including fitness & health, business and consumer magazines. The tv channels also had a good cross section of available programmes. The swimming pool area was compact, clean and facilities including sauna and jacuzzi were good. The opening hours encompassed both ends of the day, handy for late arrivers should you wish to relax. I did not use the gymnasium. Both the bed and pillows were comfortable. I stay in many hotels throughout the Country, this was as good as any and good value.

The local directional signage to the hotel is confusing. The signs read Copthorne Hotel, I missed this as I was looking for the Millenium Majedski as described on the advert, I ended up going the opposite way down the a33, needless to say I did not use a Satnav.

Staff were very polite and friendly. Room was very nice and tidy. Room service was very fast and efficient.

We had to wait over an hour to check in as our room wasn't ready.

Hotel room was grubby and desperately In need of referb and so very overrated. Water pressures in room made showering difficult,and when you wanted a bath you needed to run it one hour in advance.Restaurant was excessively expensive for the kind foods being served, as also was the bar. The only plus that made it pleasant was the price of the room for the weekend stay. The signings around the hotel were incorrect (outside the healthclub) stating that the jazz club was open yet after walking the whole circuit of the stadium after instructions from staff, it was closed.. Would I stay again ? No.. Not unless there were no cheaper offers in the area that still gives a 4 star staying experience and as I stay in Reading often, I'm sure I will find One. n / monthly so not likely as it was to see if it was anice
