Great location. The hotel is next to the subway station (Gloucester Rd.) and you can travel around London easily. There are also a lot of small restaurants near by for casual dinning. Nice buffet breakfast, but if it is not included in the price of your room, it is very expensive. The Wi-Fi works well and it is free but only if you have an upgraded room (Club class). Otherwise you have to pay for it.
The common areas in this hotel are very nice but the rooms are fairly basic. But this is what you get for the price if you want to stay in a central location in London.
Room was on main corridor which was noisy
We liked the welcome we received from the moment we arrived. The staff at reception -especially Antonino were very helpful and the foyer impressive. Our room had everything we needed and wanted and was nicely laid out. Breakfast was served in our room and was delicious and filling.
Can't think of anything not to like.
location, staff, room. very central for main tourist sites. Staff excellent, friendly and professional. All round a very nice hotel which will not disappoint
On my first night there was a wedding party. The music was very noisy (I was on the 2nd floor) but cant complain as it is to be expected.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Great food and service for breakfasts, in main dining, Observatory room and Club Lounge. Concierge staff very helpful.
There could be more lobby seating and the restaurant could have evening meals as well as breakfast. Club lounge food choices very minimal.
This was our second stay here. A lovely hotel with good facilities and very well placed for the museums and Royal Albert Hall. I would strongly recommend it for value for money - so much so that we at first expected a more modest establishment. But not a bit of it - this is actually "quite posh"!!
Location - close to centre Staff were excellent
Room was dated Quality of room finish was average A/C did not work, heat in the hotel was unbearable
The location, the staff, the room, the bed,...etc
Location is excellent
Requested for extra bed took them more than five hours before a bed was delivered to the room. Had to request for extra towels even though there were three of us staying in the room. Staff not so attendive.
This hotel is steps away from the Gloucester Road Tube stop, cafes, and restaurants. The location is great if you want to be only a few minutes away from the heart of London. The hotel has a business centre from which you can send and receive faxes, etc., and a well-equipped exercise room. Having a small refrigerator in the room was a plus, too. I found the staff helpful and friendly, especially Ramona at the front desk.
This hotel continues to charge outrageously for Internet - 10 pounds per day. Only after vociferous objection (and a 'promise' to put this on Trip Advisor) did they agree to not charge for Internet. As it turned out, the connection is not reliable, often cutting out in the midst of use, so was of limited utility. The bathroom was not quite up to standard for cleanliness, and could use a renovation to improve the height of the shower and reposition the toilet tissue holder so that it is reachable when needed most. The room safe, while good to have, is positioned so high up in the closet that only tall people (over 6') can see what they've put inside it.
Location, friendly staff
... incase you want to arrive from Heathrow by train, you may want to know that. We had two stays at this clean and well appointed Hotel. Breakfast was great and USUALLY has Gluten free choices. Staff were generally very pleasnt and helpful, except one European woman at the from desk who was training a young man and she was snobby and rude. I woudl stay here again and jsut hoep I didn't run into her again.
Convenient location Standard of hotel Friendliness of staff Speed of checkin/checkout Large comfortable room
The hotel bar was playing hideous music at an ear-splitting volume! But they did turn it down when I asked.
Location: close to undergrund, nice restaurants near by.
Expensive wifii, VERY thin walls - could hear everything next door, false fire alarm 3a.m. Poor light in the room.
Good location just by the Tube. Friendly helpful staff on the whole (although, when I asked if they sold crisps at the hotel bar, I was told "you need to go to Tesco for crisps" - a simple "no" would have been sufficient).
Hotel felt 'tired' and in need of a revamp. Maybe I got a lower-standard room because I'd booked it through Booking.com. In any case, the room looked nothing like the picture on the hotel website. Paid £10 for wifi (a rip-off anyway) and the connection was terrible.
Location is great! It's just adjacent a train station :). Cleanliness of the public areas was very good but not same with my private room :(
Staff knowledge of critical operations was very poor and I lost a lot of money as a result. My room was not cleaned on 2 occasions despite putting out a sign to clean it after we left the room later in the day. There are no inbuilt space heating facilities so we were provided a stand-alone heater which did not provide adequate heating and comfort in the room. Fine print safety instruction for using the bathtub was not very visible upon entering the bathroom. I had a fall and found the instructions thereafter. Hotel manager response to my call.
the room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious
the welcome was not what I have come to expect from a hotel. There was no one to help as we were unable to find the entrance. there was no coffee, tea or milk for the second evening, and the cups were dirty.
the location with the reserved price
I can not book the hotel again for a very expensive price( 8 days after my check out).
Value for money hotel in an ideal location to be based for sightseeing within walking distance to the museums and close to the tube station for wandering further.
Single glazed window in the room didn't really keep out the noise from the busy road outside.
Within easy reach of M4, parking, no congestion charge
Bathroom door stop missing but plug for screw protruding stubbed toe, face of vanity unit in bathroom very worn, silicone round bath in poor state
The staff were very friendly, breakfast excellent.
Lack of suitable lights for reading in bed.
Good quiet room, very clean and all in good decorative order. Bathroom also very clean and well supplied with shower gels etc. Good size bath. Good English breakfast. Polite and helpful staff. Very convenient for Gloucester Road underground station.
Numerous obscure radio channels on the room TV but not BBC Radio 2 or 4 which was a little disappointing.
The soundproof I didn't like because we can hear everyone passing by our room.
Easy access to tube.
No free internet. If you want to store your luggage you have to pay 3 £ per day per piece. Very rude concierge. If you want to have a cappucino on breakfast you have to pay extra. Old electricity infrastructure and no power point near the bed.
Very good quality room for affordable price in central London.
