Near Waitrose and Gloucester Station. Staff are wonderful.
The beds are not comfortable at all. Had backache every morning .
the location and the old style. People at the reception very kind
very noisy room. Impossible to adjust the temperature and it was very cold. impossible to open the window and a ventilation system very noisy outside the window. Poor breakfast
Excellent location for both tube and buses into Central London. Lots of places to eat in the vicinity and the area was full of life. The staff were very helpful and when the reception was busy more staff appeared, so nobody had to wait. Room was a great size and the large bed was very comfy.
The bar was rather dark and the music was a bit loud, but that was my only criticism of an otherwise great hotel.
It was central and a pleasant place to stay. Bathrooms poor need renovating and the bedroom was ok. The bed was good. Staff very helpful It is an old hotel but nice.
I felt for the price it was expensive and the bathrooms let it down. A little renovation would go a long way. dining was good. Little pricey but if you use the specials and early birds it is value for money. Very central to lots of things but beware if using Glouster station Lots of stairs not lifts not easy but opposite hotel.u
Excellent response from duty manager to resolving room issues
air con noise at night
We like the staff, large old style rooms, good food, location to various activities restaurants, tube stations and 10 minute walk to Hyde Park. Basically we feel at home in the Hotel.
Price - we have not stayed in central London for the past 3 years and were real surprised at the increase in room rates almost double for the same room! Obviously this applies to most hotels not just Millennium Bailey's.
they block money on my credit card without referring back to me. were given a room that was not ready. reception staff are not as helpful as before.
I stay at the hotel cause of its central location and convenience
We were given a room that was not ready upon check in, the maid was just starting to clean when we opened the door. The value for money is very very expensive. I don't like the fact that the accountant in the hotel blocks money on my credit card without even checking back with me if I even wish to use the same card.
Everything was great about the hotel, the location couldn't be better, the staff very helpful, and the hotel was spotless
The only fault was that the room was stuffy and the windows wouldn't open. The air con was a bit noisy
The location and reception staff
COLD cooked breakfast Tiny bathroom and tiny bath Frayed towels, chipped floor tile, wobbly toilet seat Cracked jug at breakfast and wobbly table Had to ask for coffee rather than being offered it Couldn't get served in bar on first night so went to pub opposite
Very central to ll the sights. Staff were very helpful. Restaurant was excellent.
Bathroom a bit small to move in. Could hear people moving about next door.
The location of the hotel is excellent. So easy to hop on the tube but also easy to catch a taxi. The hotel is beautiful! The decor is traditional not super modern as so many hotels are these days. The staff is absolutely superb. So friendly and helpful.
Pleasant and helpful staff in reception.A quick and positive response to emails.Excellent location for the tube and for walking to places of interest.Plenty of places for a cake or snack and coffee or something stronger.A vibrant area.
The tube was undergoing works at Gloucester rd on the 6/7 of September which was a nuisance as we were booked for the Tall Ships event in Greenwich and we had to chop and change lines.we coped!
Dated rooms Stale odour in corridor and room!
Absolutely slap bang next to Gloucester Road tube on the district and circle line, which ensures you can get anywhere without effort. Hotel was clearly previously an imposing Victorian town house and none the worse for that. Room was one of a handful of newly-refurbished rooms which had a vintage bathroom syle and great decor. Staff were very helpful and friendly and hard to fault.
Only gripe was because of the Victorian layout, the corridors were narrow and the doors heavy, which meant a lot of noise from this area, especially late at night and early morning. The gaps under the doors let in light which illumitaed the room somewhat and also allowed the intrusion of noise. We simply used a few spare cushions which did the job, but would be better if they put an excluder at the bottom themselves.
Lovely comfortable refurbished hotel but the real plus are the staff from the front desk to the wait staff in the restaurant they are friendly attentive and helpful we had an issue with our room which they proactively resolved if you are thinking of staying in Kensington you should consider staying here
Be aware it is a lovely old building which comes with squeaky floors
Excellent location on the line between St Pancras International rail and Heathrow via Sth Kensington...5 min walk. Stops at Gloucester Rd. later this year.. Proximity to Museums, Supermarkets and Restaurants. Easy trains to central London from Gloucester Road Station across road from hotel.
Thought the location was great, nice area and lots of great places to eat. The staff were helpful and offered good suggestions.
It was unfortunate that there was scaffolding everywhere. The room was comfortable, yet dark and had no view. I also found it hard being older to get in and out of the tub to shower. The bed was not comfortable to sleep on.
The staff were the best
The size of the room make me feel that I was in tomb The towels were very old, some we're torn from the edges The furniture was old The price was very high for the hotel
A repeat stay at this hotel.Excellent staff service at reception;room was large and quiet;cleanliness of the hotel impressive. What was most impressive was the huge chocolate cake which was delivered to the bedroom as a birthday surprise from the hotel. Sara seems to be the heartbeat in reception-nothing too much trouble. Thanks and see you soon for the Tall Ships Regatta.
Liked everything about the hotel and staff.
Staff very helpful. Lovely quiet hotel in an great location close to the Gloucester Road Tube. Very substantial breakfast, albeit expensive.
WiFi was too expensive.
the reception staff were nice and tried as much as possible to get us a proper room
The hotel looks not at all as the pictures, there's almost no lobby, the décor of the restaurant is very nice but the equipment is very cheap and the there's no variety for the breakfast and the service is bad. The rooms are very smelly, you feel like you are living in a kitchen, the bathroom too old, and above all not clean.
The location is perfect
The charge for wi-fi, also the service in the bar wasn't good, surly bar staff, and exorbitant prices in the bar for wine and cocktails.
That Breakfast and Internet were not included in this somehow high room rate!
Very enjoyable stay lovely hotel great location and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
