the noise from the extractor fan
Location Hotel environment beautiful Quiet bedrooms First class, professional helpful and dedicated staff Congratulations to all the team, you make the hotel work so well and ensure guests are welcome and comfortable Particularly important for a solo female traveller like me
Breakfast may need a little improvement if possible ?..
location, close to underground
wifi totally ineffective, impossible to work with computer or phone, every minute out with whatever line you can chose !!! Really very annoying
Great location. Efficient and friendly personnel. Spacious and well appointed room. Décent restaurant with good service.
I have just returned from staying 6 nights at the Millennium Baileys in London and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is in a great location – just alongside Gloucester Road tube station. There are also plenty of dining places nearby and it is just a short walk to the Natural History Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum. The staff at the hotel are very professional and friendly. Our room on the 5th floor was spacious and well furnished. There are a good selection of bars & restaurants within walking distance and in particular a great pub directly opposite the hotel. Highly recommended and I would definitely stay there again. This will be my hotel in London from now on!
everything was great
The hotel is right on the underground station so easy access and situated in a nice neighborhood. The reception, lobby and restaurant looks nice-old style. Breakfast is good. The staff friendly and professional.
We had a standard double room. The worst experience ever. I have never ever see such a small, poor furbished and decorated room , not to mention for a 4* hotel. I dont know how the deluxe room looks like, as there was not availability, but the standard room is horrible. The bathroom looks like you are back in time in 60's, everything so old and dated. The room very cold, the ventilation just making noise and zero hot air. The windows are so old and not isolated, so you almost feel the wind behind the curtain. The sink is shocking. There are 2 taps, one for cold water and completely a separate one for hot water. So its impossible to mix the hot with the cold water. So either you wash yourself with very cold water or with very hot water. Like in 60's. We were brushing tooth and washing faces and hands, with the shower, where happily we could mix the water. Absolutely DISAPPOINTED. If you choose this hotel, do not book a Standard Room. You will regret spending not 180 euros per day, but it doesn't worth not even 80 euros.
My sister & I travelled to London to see a show at the Royal Albert Hall and sightseeing for rest of weekend. We spent 2 pleasant nights at Bailey's within walking distant of Royal Albert Hall, Hyde Park & museums. Best of all, tube station was across road from hotel.
Decor in rooms a little dated, but that's not a complaint as room & twin beds were a good size.
Handy for station
The happy hour wasn't as happy as anticipated.
Comfortable, old world luxury atmosphere. Convenient to Circle and district lines, though Piccadilly line currently closed. Nice breakfast. Quiet snack room for taking a break. Comfortable bed
Inadequate lighting in bedroom area.
Fantastic location near the V&A, Natural History Museum, Science Museum and South Ken. Right across the street from the tube and a 24 hr Tesco!
A bit of a labyrinth, and generally a bit tired (décor etc.), but it was clean and functional.
The staff was very nice, the breakfast was delicious and the location cannot be beat (the Metro right across the street with 3 lines). The bed was super cozy!
The size of an individual room was smaller than a dorm room.
The hotel was in an excellent location and the staff were exceptionally accomodating.
The booking made through the website was not recognised by the hotel. We were extremely fortunate that they had a room for us and honoured the price quoted by Booking.com.
I arrived early and my room was ready. The staff were friendly, polite and welcoming. The room is furnished in traditional English style but is otherwise clean and comfortable with lots of light. And the proximity to the tube is unrivalled. It's a hop and a skip away, being just across the street. Am thoroughly happy.
Location, customer service
The fact that breakfast wasn't included
The staff were very helpful, the food was good.
I always take into consideration of the size of room when booking. I am sure the room was smaller then you stated
Service , Clean rooms,
The atmosphere in the Hotel, it was very personal, you felt extremely welcome and the staff seemed interested in you
My room faced a generator or some type of machine, it was noisy, but after a while I suppose you got used too it
Bad wifi connection.
Very comfortable Friendly and helpful staff Great location
Price is far too high
Near Waitrose and Gloucester Station. Staff are wonderful.
The beds are not comfortable at all. Had backache every morning .
the location and the old style. People at the reception very kind
very noisy room. Impossible to adjust the temperature and it was very cold. impossible to open the window and a ventilation system very noisy outside the window. Poor breakfast
Excellent location for both tube and buses into Central London. Lots of places to eat in the vicinity and the area was full of life. The staff were very helpful and when the reception was busy more staff appeared, so nobody had to wait. Room was a great size and the large bed was very comfy.
The bar was rather dark and the music was a bit loud, but that was my only criticism of an otherwise great hotel.
It was central and a pleasant place to stay. Bathrooms poor need renovating and the bedroom was ok. The bed was good. Staff very helpful It is an old hotel but nice.
I felt for the price it was expensive and the bathrooms let it down. A little renovation would go a long way. dining was good. Little pricey but if you use the specials and early birds it is value for money. Very central to lots of things but beware if using Glouster station Lots of stairs not lifts not easy but opposite hotel.u
The location is excellent. Opposite the Gloucester Rd underground station which made traveling around London very quick and easy. Close to eateries shops etc. staff were friendly and helpful. Room was larger than many in Europe. Price was excellent for London and especially upmarket Kensington. Despite the few negatives we would definitely stay there again and recommend this property on the basis of value for money and location
Property is rundown. Several things in room didn't work ( ironing board broken, TV didn't work initially) although these things were remedied quickly when brought to staffs attention. Housekeeping was poor. Only thing done in the 8 days we were there were daily towel changes and bed straightening. No vacuuming, sheet changes, dusting etc. Wifi expensive at ten pound per night in a city where wifi is often free and wifi kept dropping out.
