it was in the centre of cardiff and near all aminities and public transport. we did not know that there was no lift and we had to climb 5 levels of steep stairs, to get breakfast we had to go to the other hotel again something we did not know, the room was small for a triple room, the window only opened marginally so the room was very warm. it was not to a 3 star facility, we had to keep the window opened at night so it was very noisy, the staff although very pleasant were not very helpfull |

It was close to the concert venue. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendlyand cheerful There was an extractor fan of some sort not noticeable initially due to settling and then going out but at 1130 in the evening it was horrendous.Nobody but a night porter who would not contact the manager re this complaint available and then being moved to a room two floors up that although quieter was stifling hot with a fan that rattled and window un openable due to noise from the afore mentioned extractor |

Swam in GB masters swimming championships at the Sports Village. Wanted to visit the castle but it was closed for an event. The incessant noise of an air extractor all night |

the breakfast was ok . i found the room very noisey with the extraction duct from the take away food shop below running up past the bedroom winow, rumbling very loudly until the early hours in the morning. maybe invest in a double glazed window for a couple of hundred quid would give it a quieter atmosphere!!!. |

The room was clean and comfortable with it's own shower room! Plenty of space! The only thing I didn't like was the lack of a lift!! Far too many stairs!! |

Excelent location, frendly staff, room clean, comfortable bathroom. Cannot clean the air in the room, cause right under the window it's located a fast food exhauster and all the air smells like chicken with french frise. Also some kind of generator located outside the room made a lot of noise during the night. |

It was in the heart of downtown. Easy access to shopping, the Millenium Stadium, the train depot, Cardiff Castle. A 5-10 minute bus ride away from the Bay. Good restaurants nearby. Free Breakfast that was tasty and helpful staff. Great nightlife nearby. I knew in advance that it didn't have lifts but the stairs were narrow and steep. Definitely not a place for the elderly or anyone that had problems with stairs. It was nice that is was downtown, but there was a lot of street noise and loud voices could be heard at night. Clean rooms but nothing fancy which was acceptable considering the price. |

room was very clean and functional. although it was not too much of a problem for us, I think that the fact that there are 104 stairs to the top floor of ML lodge should be stated clearer in literature. |

Staff were efficient The carpets on the stairs were worn and dangerous. The bed linen smelt of fast food. The extrator fan outside was very noisy all night! |

Staff were very friendly. Single room directly next to boiler system which fired up every 20 minutes. Sleep was impossible. |

The closeness to the main area of Cardiff, and also the price of the room. I was not informed that there were two separate buildings on different roads that we had to go to sleep and for breakfast. We were also not informed that there was only the one car park which gave tickets that the hotel validated, but was closed by 6pm so we had to spend £12 just to park. |

The room was spacious and clean although very basic. The hotel was difficult to find, the room was cold and I was kept awake all night by some sort of machinery operating right outside my room. |

It is located very well, cordial staff, very good breakfast and free wireless connection. Contrarily to the other guest's comments, I did not find any noise pump, the room was safe, clean, comfortable bathroom, and the reception is just in front. Actually the absence of a lift may be a problem, especially because the stairs are quite narrow. However one brings the luggage up just once so this is a secondary problem. |

In the heart of Cardiff city centre, close to all that the city has to offer, this well-established, family-run hotel offers good service, a friendly atmosphere and generous cooked breakfasts. |
The Royal Hotel, Cardiff, is the city's newest and hippest hotel. The best city centre location, 50m from the train station, bars, restaurants, shopping & Millennium Stadium. |
This modern, newly built hotel, with striking limestone exterior and impressive glazing, gives great views across the city and is a short walk from St Mary's Street. |
Future Inn Cardiff Bay is spacious, comfortable and affordable. It is near the city centre and steps from vibrant dining and entertainment at Mermaid Quay waterfront. |
