This beautifully reconstructed bakery is now a hotel, restaurant and bar, with many original features retained. Rooms with free Wi-Fi and free parking are just a 10-minute drive from highway M42. The Millers Hotel still has much of the character of the bakery. Many original artifacts remain, including a working mill wheel in the oak-beamed lounge bar. Each room includes a TV, telephone, tea/coffee facilities and a private bathroom with a hairdryer. The restaurant serves tasty seasonal meals and snacks. Guests can also sample a wide selection of Real Ales, wines, and specialty teas and coffees in the bar and enclosed terrace. The Millers is in a historic area of outstanding natural beauty where you can visit Twycross Zoo, which is just a 5-minute car ride away. The NEC events center and East Midlands and Birmingham airports are a 30-minute drive away. Hotel Rooms: 36, Hotel Chain: Old English Inns.

The staff at The Millers Hotel are very friendly and attentive. The hotel was easy to find and the breakfast was very good. I initially booked a single room but after identifying a problem to the manager I was moved to a double which was much better equipped at no additional expence. I requested a quiet room as I was going for a job interview the next day and needed a good nights sleep. The rooms on the front of the hotel are very close to the very busy road and the road noise can be excessive. My room was triple glazed but the noise from the road was still loud. If you need a good nights sleep request a room away from the main road when you book.

The ambience was good - friendly and warm. Nice ales served in bar and breakfast was freshly and well cooked Room was next to a mian road which although not very busy nevertheless had significant traffic noise through the night. Also the radiator was making a clanking noise for most of the night so I didnt sleep particularly well. My recommendation below would be qualified by getting a room away from the road

After visit to Birmingham's nec we chose the Millers hotel as it was just short drive in a Northerly direction. We thought it looked nice on the village inn's website and after a long day at nec it was a welcome spot to unwind have a few drinks and a good meal. (Fillet steak was really good but the price was excellent). Cosy bar setting with working water wheel, our themed room served it's purpose and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. All this made for an enjoyable experience and it set us up for the long drive North the following day.

The food and bar staff were great, helpful, and friendly.the room was clean and tidy, and the bed comfortable. The room no.3 Floor was very loudly creaky, and soft in parts frightening to the tread ,woke my wife on 2 occasions just going to bathroom during the night.IN Answer to next question Yes,but only bin another room that did not have very loud creaky floor. The breakfast setup and staff leave a lot to be desired dirty cutlery uncovered cereals not so courteous and friendly as previous nights bar staff in particular kate.

The room was very clean with a good supply of tea, coffee and even chocolate, which was a lovely touch. There were lovely big towels also. We found the room very quiet with a great breakfast included. There is a lovely restaurant offering a very extensive menu of great value.

We had a very comfortable night in a warm room which had excellent facilities. The price was very reasonable and included a first class breakfast. Although the hotel seemed to be quite full it was very quiet, despite a function going on in the main area. The hotel appeared to be short staffed but the duty manager was working very hard to cover deficiencies.

I like its convenient location for the motorway network. It has a nice bar and lounge area. I have stayed at Millers over a dozen times over the past 2 or 3 years and in my opinion the standard in general has definately dropped. I know its not very expensive but it used to be exceptional value compared to the soul less hotel chains. It has character, which I am sure it can regain if the management "tweek" things a little.

Food was good. I arrived early and was simply dismissed, told to come back later, no offer of looking after luggage or anything. Just go away until 2! Room had inadequate double glazing so all traffic and noise outside could be heard clearly, and the blinds were so thin that the hotel lights shone directly into the room until they were switched off around 2.A.M. Booked dinner for 8 but was told I would have to wait 45 minutes for food when I arrived in restaurant. Only one table was being used apart from my own. Musak at breakfast was awful. One does not want loud music blaring at 7.30 - 8 A.M. It was only on it appeared for the staff.

No hidden extras, parking, internet etc all included Staff friendly and helpful. Room big enough. If you want luxury, this is not the place to come but it is ok for an overnight stay when working The desk/dressing table just had dressing table stool which was not very comfortable to work at. Hot breakfast is to order so breakfast took a bit longer than I had anticipated.
