We were only there one night so didn't experience much.
Room was warm, clean and comfortable and also very quiet. Hotel had an overall cosy and friendly feel about it and the manager was extremely helpful when we had a spot of car trouble. Would definitely stay again.
Nothing was too much trouble, arrived late and was still offered something light to eat, great room, fantastic location.
This was good value and we'd stay again.
We will stay here again. The staff were incredibly helpful without intruding; room was comfortable - the bed was great - it was the best night's sleep we have had for a long time! Pet friendly - genuinely rather than 'pet tolerant!'
Taking the noise of vehicles passing into consideration, next room could be heard and noises around the room woke me up a few times, like clicks in the bathroom maybe vents or drains not sure quite what it was. Topsheet was dirty bed wasn't comfy and pillow cases were torn.
What I liked most was the scene of the hotel. A very relaxing atmosphere.
Couldn't fault it
Staff very helpful nothing was to much trouble very impressed
The shower would only do ice cold water.
Only had a sandwich but quite expensive.
Carpets need a little cleaning!!
Staff were excellent.
Warm well, good friendly service
room was very hot.
the staff, the room and the food.
carpets were grubby, and stained, but were being cleaned when we left.Bathroom needed a springclean and .... a small thing, pillowcases did'nt match, and pillows a bit lumpy. Will probably stay again though because often in the area visiting family.
Service and friendliness of all the staff.Location, food.
Nice environment Good Service Comfort room
No Wifi available at the time
Cant think of anything
Staff very welcoming and attentive. Couldn't ask for better. Nice room, comfortable bed and great breakfast. Much better than some of the larger and more impressive looking local hotels
The curtains were hanging off the rails. The bedside light bulbs needed replacing & the toilet needed a good dose of bleach!
The location & staff
Size of room was not great, lighting was poor in the room, I spotted at least 4 giant spiders and I couldn't honestly guess when that room was intensively cleaned. However on reporting this, the chap took £20 off the bill making it still £70 a night to sleep with 4 (visibly large spiders). The whole hotel has a bit of a grubby feel, but the staff are lovely and can't do enough for you, which is such a shame.
I liked the staff, great service.
It is not acceptable theses days to offer anything less than a robust WiFi network
The position was excellent, full marks to the young owner. Very positive with his staff, as he said building an excellent team, I tend to agree
The dinning room/orangery area was covered in dead flies on window sills, whislt the drapes hanging over we infested with dead moths, flies etc.,
It was a quaint, hotel with character in nice surroundings.
Nothing to dislike
Nice setting, very welcoming young man on reception and a great breakfast. We booked purely on proximity to RAF Cranfield and were very impressed. Ever on that location again wouldn't hesitate to book there again. Excellent value for money.
Just an average hotel with nothing to get excited about
Nothing much pretty average
Reception was not too obvious when I first arrived, Wifi intermittant and not particularly fast
Friendly, clean, good food, comfortable and easy to find. Would definately use again if I am working in this area
