Carpets need a little cleaning!!
Warm well, good friendly service
the staff, the room and the food.
room was very hot.
Service and friendliness of all the staff.Location, food.
carpets were grubby, and stained, but were being cleaned when we left.Bathroom needed a springclean and .... a small thing, pillowcases did'nt match, and pillows a bit lumpy. Will probably stay again though because often in the area visiting family.
Nice environment Good Service Comfort room
No Wifi available at the time
Staff very welcoming and attentive. Couldn't ask for better. Nice room, comfortable bed and great breakfast. Much better than some of the larger and more impressive looking local hotels
Cant think of anything
The location & staff
The curtains were hanging off the rails. The bedside light bulbs needed replacing & the toilet needed a good dose of bleach!
I liked the staff, great service.
Size of room was not great, lighting was poor in the room, I spotted at least 4 giant spiders and I couldn't honestly guess when that room was intensively cleaned. However on reporting this, the chap took £20 off the bill making it still £70 a night to sleep with 4 (visibly large spiders). The whole hotel has a bit of a grubby feel, but the staff are lovely and can't do enough for you, which is such a shame.
The position was excellent, full marks to the young owner. Very positive with his staff, as he said building an excellent team, I tend to agree
It is not acceptable theses days to offer anything less than a robust WiFi network
It was a quaint, hotel with character in nice surroundings.
The dinning room/orangery area was covered in dead flies on window sills, whislt the drapes hanging over we infested with dead moths, flies etc.,
Nice setting, very welcoming young man on reception and a great breakfast. We booked purely on proximity to RAF Cranfield and were very impressed. Ever on that location again wouldn't hesitate to book there again. Excellent value for money.
Nothing to dislike
Nothing much pretty average
Just an average hotel with nothing to get excited about
Friendly, clean, good food, comfortable and easy to find. Would definately use again if I am working in this area
Reception was not too obvious when I first arrived, Wifi intermittant and not particularly fast
Lovely setting by the mill pond. Reasonably comfortable. Not many alternatives in the area.
Dingy bathroom. Average breakfast served by disinterested staff.
Relaxed atmosphere, friendly but not intrusive staff, always helpful. Peace and quiet. Good dinner with sensible size portions, nicely presented.
Breakfast was a bit dull with no muesli or marmalade, usually standard, and tired fruit. Carpets in dire need of cleaning up or replacing, as I'm sure they are aware!
we chose this Hotel because it was near to My Aunt, the food was good & the staff were very helpful
we were very disappointed with the put up bed for my daughter, it was awful she ended up putting the mattrass on the floor,
Room was grubby and tired
Booked for 2 nights. After reading the reviews thought should be quite good. First impressions where disappointing and it went rapidly downhill after that. My room was directly above the kitchens and judging by the constant noise and heat I am sure the hot water system was housed in a built in cupboard. There was no means of ventilation other than opening the door which led directly outside. the only window was reinforced glass with no means of opening. For £70 per night it was daylight robbery. I had booked for 2 nights but only stayed for 1. Spent second night at good old reliable Premier Inn.
Location was ideal for family visit
Initial problem with bill for lunch, subsequently resolved
The location as it happened to be close to family. Harry was extremely helpful and friendly. The staff were all courteous and helpful
Some problems getting a bill sorted out
