The food was amazing had a wonderful meal in restaurant, the staff are lovely and very hlepful. breakfast eggs benedict and the Times what more could i ask for. we will be coming back.
room and hallway looking worse for wear could do with lick of paint and refurb if want to stay 4* but it won't put me off returning. no parking will not take car to Bath again a bit of mare
Great location and value for money
Could do with a make over
I loved the large room and the comfortable bed. The excellent restaurant downstairs served fabulous breakfasts. The staff were all lovely.
No lift was a bit of a problem and a fridge in the room would have been useful.
A bit noisy
Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, comfortable bed and central to all shopping areas and sights of Bath. Value for money.
Needs a bit of TLC as carpets worn and in need of a spruce up in terms of decorations. Otherwise nothing to dislike. Probably not for the unfit as many stairs to climb but provides good exercise doing it everyday.
Right in the heart of Bath, so very close to everything. Staff were friendly, breakfast was good and the room very comfortable.
Being right in the centre of Bath means there's no parking. Charlotte St long-term carpark is about 10 mins walk. There are a lot of stairs to carry luggage up, depending on what floor obviously! The hotel is above the Loch Fyne restaurant, so be aware that there is a strong fish smell on the stairwell of the hotel, however it's fine in the rooms.
position and big rooms. helpfulness of the staff
The hotel is in need of decoration and repair. The overwhelming smell of stale fish, in the stairwell. The known problem with the lock in room 1 which wouldn't unlock.
They arranged all the requests I made. Brilliant
Location Good value Good food Helpful and friendly staff
Everything Staff friendly good food comfy bed
The walk up the stairs
Fantastic high ceiling room and large bed. Free wifi and great access to city centre. Will definitely go back.
Fantastic bed, and wonderful breakfast the next day. Good value for money - I'd definitely stay there again. Staff was good enough to wait for us for the late check-in, as we were running late.
Bathroom was a little old, though the shower was good. The cut off time for checking in was 11pm, which is a little restrictive if you're driving into town from afar - so be wary that it's not your usual 24hour hotel!
Great location, lovely food, huge bath, beautiful building. Yummy breakfast and lovely breakfast staff.
Long check in time, check in staff were rushed and stressed & felt slightly ignored. Dirty used glass in bathroom with lime wedge, no options to turn up heating (could benefit from double glazing) bed was lumpy.
,loch fyne restaurant was good and staff rerally pleasant, location good
small room and bed, felt a bit grubby. Whole place needs redecorating and refurbishing , three fkights of stairs and no parking
Very welcoming, room had every thing required, iron, coffee & tea hair dryer etc Breakfast was very good. Staff were helpful and informative.
The stairs !! Loads of them. When you have heavy luggage some offer of help would have been very welcome.no lifts.
Clean spacious room
No wireless as advertised. No car parking as advertised. Access via restaurant corridor to toilet and fire exit. Communal areas tired and in need of refurb. Difficult to find ( few doors up from advertised address). Unable to see out of bedroom windows which were opaque.
The location of the hotel was excellent - very central and close to all of the things you would want to see in bath. It was also next to the park and ride bus stops which was handy for us. Rooms were nicely decorated. Breakfast was included.
Access to the hotel is through Loch Fyne restaurant, and the entrance to the hotel smelt strongly of fish. Our room was on the top floor (no lift so not good for anyone with mobility issues) and was quite small but pleasant. After reading positive reviews we were really looking forward to breakfast but sadly it was very disappointing - the menu promised a lot but delivered very little. There was no toast and preserves, no pastries and no fruit salad as the menu promised. The cooked breakfast, mine muffins with poached eggs and bacon, was not good. Muffins were burnt, the bacon was overcooked, cold, dry and fatty, and the eggs were over cooked and tasted overpoweringly of the vinegar they had been cooked in. Even though our room was on the top floor the noise of the local bars kept us awake. In addition I was slightly uncomfortable that the hotels baggage storage (whilst we went around the city after staying) was behind the bar in the restaurant, near the door - it certainly didn't feel secure.
Location, big room
Tired decor. Terrible service at breakfast - left me waiting 30 minutes while they went for supplies then lied saying it was not time.
Fantastic breakfast, cooked to order, staff helpful & friendly. Building had wonderful original features. Room was enormous, comfortable bed. The bathroom was also big but unfortunately had signs of a leak/damp which looked unsightly on the ceiling also some chipped floor tiles.

Location right in the centre of Bath, above a good restaurant. Reasonable value though. Good breakfast.
Parking distance. Room a little compact, no lift - difficult if you have a top floor room with heavy luggage
Rooms were small carpet so worn it was like walking on glass very slippery, both chairs in room had a sticky residue on them. Drinking glasses were not changed for the whole 3 days and the windows would not shut so a noisy room
The atmosphere in Bath Plenty to see places to visit and great choice of eating places.
Difficult for parking near hotel where staying.
Location and restaurant lovely
No double glazing no sleep
The location is perfect Lots of restaurants and places to visit
Room very very tierd and in desperate need of an update Not as clean as expected felt grubby Didn't really want to relax in room as didn't have a pleasant, comfortable, clean feel to it
