The only thing I would say is that when travelling solo as a female, I do not like my room number being verbalised at the bar, especially when it is busy

Good coffee stations in various locations in the hotel. The manager was very attentive and welcoming during breakfast. The cleaners were nicer to the guests compared to the reception or waiting staff. Very tired hotel. Extremely noisy, I wasn't able to sleep during the night. Rooms were very humid and hot. Horrible smell on the entrance of the building. Restaurant food was very average. Staff was very chaotic, you don't fell that they do any effort to make your stay pleasant.

Good customer service from friendly & helpful staff Good food & good value Good spa offering great treatments Main house charming with character & nice furnishings Stayed in the annexe which is unattractive from the outside Room was nice & modern but not enough wardrobe space if staying longer than 2 nights Swimming pool based in main house so was too cold to go from annexe as you have to walk outside to get to it

Excellent evening meal, lovely salmon starter & tender steak to follow. Good scope for morning walk in grounds which could be further developed with path through trees. Wifi- good signal. Express checkout is good idea. Stayed in the Lodge, Room 305. Room small, no table for case, no shelf in bathroom for utensils. Could put coat hooks on wall or outside of wardrobe. No phone in room. Could use extra chair to put cloths on. Could hear what was going on in room next door.

Lovely surroundings and Italian garden. Room had ample facilities and was spotless. Swimming pool and gym provided relaxation before dinner. Restaurant staff very accommodating. Lots of different locations in the hotel building to relax in. Coffee points were very convenient and well stocked. The bar was pleasant. The walls between rooms were poorly insulated and did not block out sounds such as snoring and showering from the adjacent room. The restaurant menu was Harvester-like and we expected better from a De Vere hotel. and we thought the steak and chips option was over priced (£20 with only chips, one mushroom and tomato included- with sauce and vegetables extra). The restaurant stopped taking orders at 9.30 p.m. which was surprisingly early. The bar ran out of Baileys. The jacuzzi stopped working on one day. The temperature of the bar area was slightly chilly.

The self-serve coffee and tea - excellent! Plus there is a great cafe/lounge with Mac computers and snacks on hand along with the coffee and tea. The breakfast buffet is excellent, too. The location is great if you're going to Oxford or anywhere nearby. We didn't take advantage of the pool or sauna but will next time. We will stay again! The odd item of furniture needed a bit of repair or an extra bit of cleaning around the tub (limescale build-up, etc.), but these things were minor.

We were placed in the wing which could do with the benefit of a pressure wash, thus appeared scruffy from the outside, but once we entered the bedroom, it proved that appearances can be deceptive. Lovely bedroom and bathroom. We ordered our evening meal in the bar, but had to wait a very long time before we ate.

Comfortable room, friendly staff. The old house would have been lovely with an open fire, particularly in this cold weather.

Hotel situated in countryside but with easy access to Oxford.( We parked at Didcot station and caught the train). We had our evening meals delivered to the room - very efficient and absolutely delicious food. We enjoyed being able to use the Spa facilities at the end of a day's sight seeing and walking round the grounds - despite the cold and snow! The bedroom(222) was comfortable, well equipped and delightfully quiet. We were in the annex with lovely views of parkland. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed it all!

Very comfortable room and the spa facilities were good. The house and gardens were lovely. bit hot in the room - found it difficult to sleep. We came to breakfast at 9.15 and everything appeared to have been sat under the heated lights for quite sometime making it a bit dry and overcooked.

Everything That we was told that there was tennis courts. Unfortunately there was not, best to remove it from your hotel description. Also It said it was a few miles from Oxford, however it was quite a way. Nice hotel though.
