We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom apartments, 2nd floor, which was generally excellent. Clean, modern and spacious with good kitchen and bathroom facilities. The location is superb in that it's on a small street which is very quiet particularly at night, and right next to a police station and St Bart's hospital so must be one of the safest places to stay in London! Just a 5 minute walk to St Paul's tube station and has the likes of Starbucks, Pret a Manger and Tesco across the road. An easy 20 min walk down to the Thames, and most of the usual tourist destinations (Covent Garden, London Eye, Westminster, Oxford St etc.) are within 15 min taxi or 4-5 tube stops. I usually stay in hotels but found this much more flexible, particularly in not having to get out by a certain time for cleaners like you would in a hotel, and even if you're not planning to cook it's still very useful having things like a fridge and dishwasher. We'd originally booked the penthouse apartment, but the day before arrival received an email saying there had been a boiler leak so that apartment was no longer available. Had to take one of the other apartments as too late notice to look for anything else, to be informed of this just by email the day before arrival is ridiculous. Also be aware that the company you deal with for payment and check-in is not Minc Apartments, but a company called Mondo Hospitality, and when things go wrong it's incredibly confusing and complicated trying to speak to the right people to get it resolved. As far as the apartment goes, the mattresses were far too firm, tolerable for a week's stay but couldn't put up with it at home. Don't plan to be watching a lot of tv, most of the channels on the Sky box don't work. Despite these issues, on the assumption that the problems I encountered were a one-off, we would stay again because of the general quality of the apartment and the location.

I liked that there was a kitchen, the windows opened, the tv was in English (my friends and I are Americans living in Germany) and there was an iron. Also nice to have two full bathrooms! I was worried about the whole getting in and getting into the safe debacle, after reading what a few others had written on the website. We got into the main building with no problem, but there was a problem with retrieving our key from the safe- the code we were given did not work. Just by luck, a gentleman who works for the management company was on the premises, and even he had trouble w/the safe code and had to call for assistance. To top it off, the day we arrived, the elevator went out. We stayed on the 4th floor- a very long 72 steps to the top. After walking in London all day, and walking back from the tube station, the last thing you want to be told is that the elevator is out. It was out for the duration of our stay (4 days). That was a major bummer.

The appartment was clean, spatious and at great location. The two badrooms was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped including dishwasher and loundry machine. The self check-in was not convenient and didn't work accoording to our instructions. The helpfull staff arrived an hour later to help us in. The garbage system was blocked in one of the two appartments causing an increadable stink in the living room.
