We were told to expect a little noise as it's a pub. However didn't expect to be staying above a nightclub. The volume of the music was turned up at midnight and continued til gone 1 am, doors were being slammed every two minutes both in the bar and from other rooms, screaming and shouting. The room had not be cleaned or hoovered as there was confetti on floor and withered balloons. TV didn't work.
We liked the hotel very much. Maybe there was no food in the restaurant in the evening (to be honest we haven't checked) but there is a nice-tai opposite :-) Delicious meals. And the breakfast the hotel serves really tasty. Rooms comfortable, bathrooms clean, everything better than we expected. The building itself really impressive.
Position in town was great. Could be a lot better with some work as is a lovely old hotel..
Run down needs some work done on it.
Tea & coffee making kettle couldn't be pluged in without moving furniture. Mirror on the large dresser was barely attached. The front part of the front drawer, of the same dresser when opened fell off into my hand, the rest of the draw staying where it was! There is nothing 'Royal' at all about this inn.
Clean bed. Plenty of hot water. Excellent location.
Booked for an ensuite but didn't get one. Found out there was only one bathroom for four rooms with only a bath instead of a shower. Room had damp and peeling wallpaper. Music was playing loudly until 2am which is understandable being a pub but staff didn't warn that this would happen. Dirty mugs in room and in bathroom that were never cleaned up.
I was up in Leominster to visit my partners family and the royal oak was the only hotel available for the times needed. I'd say it was the most cheapest hotel out of the lot. It's in a very nice place, very welcoming staff easy to deal with and if any questions made sure they was there to deal with them.
It does need some work doing with the walls, windows in some rooms. The sheets on the bed wasn't completely covering the duvet. On payment to the hotel the card machine wasn't working so be prepared for a trip with your luggage to a cash machine.
I was offered a very large room at the top of the building which had 3 single beds, the window was almost jammed open. The bathroom was down a level and the toilet took more one attempt to flush away. After I came back from night out the key to the room got stuck in the lock and I had to leave it in all night.ie no privacy all night I checkout in morning and found another hotel locally albeit more than double the price but at least it was ensuite and had a tv
The hotel is extremely grotty and disgusting.
In need of a major refurbishment. Picture nothing like the real thing!
everything was old but still worked just
showers had no power and the water was only luke warm
Warm friendly reception, staff helpfull & good humoured, loved the old english atmosphere,i wud stay there again, good value for money.
Nothing to dislike.
Disco went on until 1.15 in morning. Bathroom door falling off. Cobwebs in room. No receipt for money handed over.
beds basic . Pillows flat. Family room above a night club! No WiFi. Smallest tv we have ever seen. Cups dirty. Floor dirty. No pressure in the shower. No food available. Was told to go to local greasy spoon for breakfast because the manager couldn't be bothered. Won't be staying again and definitely won't recommend
Location and website looked good and seemed cheap
Doesn't match website which should be taken down! Obvious why it is cheap. Dowdy, run down. Read the reviews first; we didn't! We ate at local establishments who were aware of hotel's reputation..
No handle for the toilet hole in hand towel no cold water
The location was good for the centre of Leominster Pets were allowed so it we were able to take our dog
The staff were not very helpful. They seemed out of their depth with customer service. They were not rude just not very aware of customer service. The room was in poor condition and not very clean as were the parts of the hotel we could see. There was lots of noise especially at night with music playing loudly and hotel clientele shouting also loudly late into the night. I would certainly not stay again and would not recommend this hotel
THE HOTEL & THE ROOM WE WERE GIVEN OWING TO THE FACT IT WAS TRUELY DISGUSTING, Window would not shut, carpets were filthy,Door to the room looked like it had been broken in too.stair carpet was hanging down, music on until 2.00 clocka.m.
Right in the town centre with a good choice of restaurants close bye. I was able to take my dog into the room with me.
No breakfast available at the Royal Oak due to staff shortages. Very noisy (Friday night) with loud music in the premises and lots of noise in the street outside from people going to and leaving other bars in the area.
Nothing it is outdated in bad repair and will not recommend it to anyone
All of it I was diss appointed that I had requested a room on the ground floor or with ease of access for my father who is disabled but was given neither and had to try get him up three flight stairs but after the first one I refused to go any further and requested another room they were not interested at all very disappointed that booking .com offers this hotel will seriously do some looking into hotels you offer before I book again
Convenient for the town of Leominster
Convenient location but very noisy as it is on the junction of 2 main roads and single glazed windows. No food facilities at all Serious updating needed.
Leaving the following morning!
The place is a filthy hovel, yes, low budget, but not somewhere i would put farmyard animals. Do not stay here.
In need of a major refurb!
Room newly decorated
Shower door fallen off. Bathroom dirty Room never changed. Thin walls=noisy neighbours Interior to hotel scruffy
location and cost
Dated and tired
