Grubby towels Bed was about 10 years old sweeqed every time u moved in it Kettle was manky Bacon burnt to a crisp The whole building looked like it was ready to fall down
The price Shared bathrooms Unhelpful staff Breakfast time was too short Rooms and bathroom was very dirty Thin windows next to a very loud street The minster chimed every hour Noisy guests
Bathroom not clean , staff not caring
Location next to Beverley Minster superb (but quarterly chimes prevented sleep). Easy 10 min walk into town. Selection of restaurants.
5 ft bed v bouncy - kept each other awake if turned over! Clean except for dust under bed. No ventilation. V light curtains - Venetian blind tho' down wouldn't shut to cut light. Those wonderful Minster bells (need ear plugs!). Full English a disappointment - NO cooked brk'fst after 08.30 just cereal, yogurt, toast, juice & beverage & considering little sleep weren't able to make 08.29 deadline!
Position, lovely building, large bedroom and good breakfast.
Depressing entrance area. Cluttered bedroom, untidy bookshelves, broken toilet seat, shower fixing broken and no bath mat.
This guest house is an absolute joke. I would not recommend this to anyone. The staff have no customer service skills whatsoever, the guest house is dirty, noisy and the owners quite clearly have no funds to spend on it. It is run down and needs shutting down! This place is noisy and to put it quite bluntly, it's disgusting and the worst place I have ever stayed in. There were left over toiletries in the bathroom, a little bit of shower gel and a bit of soap which someone else must have left in there! What a joke. Do not stay here, it will spoil a lovely weekend in Beverley, which is what it did for us too.
The location. The lady who seemed to run the place - she seems to need some help as she did everything. The full English was good. The welcome was very friendly.
The place needs decorating. It has massive potential. Not enough room to sit comfortably at breakfast if you're not in the first 10 people down. Running out of basic breakfast requirements like orange juice. I worry about the 4-star rating.
Our room upgrade for no extra cost was generous and welcomed.
Couldn't connect to the internet; seemingly only intermittent.
Could not do enough to please us, breakfast was excellent view from window amazing, had everything in our room for our comfort, wish we could have stayed longer.
Having to go outside and Into a different building for breakfast. dining room not comfortable.
The guest house was ideal for the places I was visiting being so central.I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, my room was large and light and my bed extremely comfortable.
good food, clean environment, friendly staff
The room wasn't serviced while we were there. Breakfast finished at 8.30.
Booked for elderly parents room changed to bottom floor to help with dads disability of climbing stairs. Room very clean and owner very pleasant.
When we arrived at the Minster Garth the room was red hot due to the sun. Less than half a hour later a lady named Andrea was knocking on our door with a new electric fan. That's what I call good service.
Bells ringing every 15 minutes kept us all awake, noise from the traffic was bad, breakfast was ok but no mushrooms and no white bread left, not the worst but far from the best
The whole experience, enjoyed our stay .
hospitality location peace domestic atmosphere
Dirty room, bed linen not washed and towels disgusting. Would not use them for my dogs. Breakfast in edible and chipped and broken crockery. Yuck. Would not go again and certainly would not recommend to anyone. These people need a wake up call. You can't have a 3 star rating in the dining area and a five star in the accommodation. I run a food house and something needs to be done about this place.. Environmental health need to visit . An utter disgrace to the retail place. Get some decent staff, ie: cleaner and cook . Your business is going down the pan!!!! Or are you not bothered!!! The door handle yo our room came off and only was held by a small screw, the room was filthy. Open your eyes and take a good look, is this what you would live in.???? I hope not. Very angry visitor.
Very warm welcome Friendly staff good breakfast
The woman who cooked and served breakfast was friendly and conscientious. The price was good although I have stayed in B&Bs charging similar rates where the room quality has been much higher.
The standard of the room was disappointingly poor. The bed-linen had seen better days and looked rather grubby. The shower-room needs a complete refurbishment. The room carpet was old and smelled and the curtains on the window fell off the curtain rail when I tried to close them (having returned to the room after an evening visiting friends). Thus I was faced with the task of rehanging the curtains myself prior to getting ready for bed.
Central location. Parking permit.
Dark brown decor. Broken chair leg. Not very clean. Ran out of butter at breakfast and only sliced white bread.
Great room .. Great staff
Staff was rude, The hotel and rooms were tired with dust all over the shabby curtains. Mugs at breakfast were chipped and stained. The breakfast wasn't the best. Would I stay again? I would rather sleep in the van.
Very helpful & friendly staff, good breakfast
