The attention to detail second to none
Our room wasn't enough suite but had our own bathroom across the hall which was spotless clean with lovely toiletries
Decoration is very good everything makes you feel as a knight in his castle, but with the modern comfort for bed and bathroom. Kind attention of various cosmetic products, great breakfast, we surely liked our stay.
Don't judge on the outside, it all happens inside and you won't be disappointed.
Just like home from home, one word that everyone should take a break and go hear, no vault enjoyed everything about the m rest, I will definitely come back
Probably the small wash basin but it wasn't a bother
the whole service There was nothing we were unhappy with, Hope to visit again Thank you
There was nothing to dislike the guest house was just perfect for all our requirements breakfast was amazing with a great selection to choose from and home made jam which was a good touch as we had the option to buy the some after. The room was also perfect! Clean and comfortable and the bathroom was very modern with everything you could possibly need
Only one thing is that it is a little far from the town but hardly worth complaining about its only a 15 minutes walk
The breakfast was well cooked and the jam lovely. Very welcoming couple.
Everything. Owners were very welcoming. Breakfast was super. Some of the big named hotels could actually learn something from this bed and breakfast. We stayed at Bannatynes spa hotel and the breakfast was cold and tasteless ,minstrels rest was spot on and had great variety of jams ,juices and choice of breakfast would definitely stay here again.
Nothing at all to complain about
Liked the medieval theme.owners very helpful.comfortable bed lovely fresh soft bedding.very clean.big choice of breakfast items ie 7different local sausages.breakfast very well cooked and pottery used.quirky dining room with suit of armour tapestries etc.very nice experience.phill and michelle very sweet.
Only downside bit of trek to walk old hastings but not really a big issue
- Kindness of owners - Comfort of the bed - Breakfast - Atmosphere
- Parking can be difficult on busy period
The location The owners very helpful and friendly Cleanliness Attention to detail
Welcome Cleanliness Comfort of bed Quality & quantity of towels Breakfast Excellent wifi Slightly eccentric decor
Everything from the warm welcome from the proprietors to the attention to detail in the room was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for this lovely couple. The breakfast was tasty and well presented, the choice of sausages and preserves a bonus. I would definitely recommend this establishment. 10/10.
excellent breakfast, owners welcoming , comfortable bed.
occasional noise from other rooms. room a little cramped . but these complaints are minor
Amazing from arriving to leaving. Michelle and phill were so welcoming. Rooms really clean and comfy. Breakfast delicious. Attention to detail and little extras fab. Highly recommended.
Best breakfast I've ever had in a hotel and I travel a lot to 4 and 5 star. Friendly welcome, great nights sleep and great value for money.
There is no dedicated parking for the hotel.
Very friendly staff. Great hospitaliy. Lovely small rooms.
good hosts welcome and all stay fab breakfast 100% room dressed to the style of the hotel medieval worked for me
The welcome was great. The bathroom while not en suite was beautifully appointed. Breakfast excellent.
Great decor! Good Breakfast Friendly owners
One of the nicest B&B i have stayed in the uk. I love the fact it is themed down to lovely small details, like the fairy doors and your cups in the room. Beautiful details everywhere, loved the decoration of the rooms and the dining room had the whoaa. factor. Breakfast was so delicious and I have never had such an array of choices (especially with sausages flavour), i especially loved the home made jams. Never left a B&B having done so much shopping when checking out (jams, meads, berry wines, deco items) . Most lovely hosts and the spa baths was an fab extra indulgence.
Nothing and i have been recommending it to all my friends.
B&B with great character. The owners have done a great job of decorating the whole property in the medieval period. Great breakfast.
Only downside is that the room we stayed in was a bit cramped with not a lot of room for bags.
Décor was excellent; proprietors couldn't do enough for us; ultra clean; great food; very friendly - couldn't ask for a better B & B.
There was nothing we didn't like.
The owners were great and very helpful. Very nice room with great bathroom. Amazing breakfast choices. Attention to detail in every respect, including bathroom products.
Our room off the dining room was a little noisy when people were in the dining room and also noise from people in room above. Would request a different room next time.
The minstrel theme has been thoroughly researched and carried through. Michelle can provide lots of historical detail which is very interesting. Good breakfast, and overall a very comfortable stay
The owners were so friendly and welcoming..... The breakfast was great.... Had a wonderful sleep...
The room was very tiny....
