Friendly staff, quick checking in process. Lovely bar linked with the hotel. We didn't have food but a nice atmosphere in the bar.
The room was clean, I wouldn't say modern but it has everything you would need.

Hastings has weathered recent years rather better than many towns. The Old Town area which was a little run down on my last visit has now been restored with many restaurants and the narrow streets had a friendly vibe missing from places like The Lanes in Brighton. The town centre is nothing special but only has a few empty shops. St Leonards seems to be its more upmarket twin although the transition between towns is seamless. The coastal area is varied including an under cover "bottle alley" and some good coffee shops (Goat Ledge being my favourite with a hippy vibe). It also felt safe with groups of people of all ages just enjoying being outdoors by the sea with some music. There seem to be plentiful buses to explore further afield and there are two funicular lifts to the top of the cliffs for a more scenic view and to visit the castle. Other towns on the south coast may have a better reputation, but I doubt that you'd get a hotel with sea view at such an affordable price and the locals are universally friendly.

Being a resident of Hastings for most of my life, The town like many others has it's up and downs, The area of St Leonards is peppered with bars and eateries as is the Old town of Hastings.
I can't recommend enough an Italian gem La Bella Vista on the seafront of St Leonards.

Hastings always has a lot to offer but going off season means a lot of the places are not open. But there is still plenty to see and do good variety of coffee shops restaurants and bars to suit all tastes. St Leonard’s, Bexhill, Eastbourne and Brighton are all within driving distance. George st has loads of quirky shops to browse in. In peak season the fair ground and amusement arcades are great for the kids. Highly recommended.
Maggies is best for fish & chips
Two bulls for steak. Or go to Bentleys steakhouse in bexhill for the best steak experience plenty of Italian eateries. And there are 3 great wet fish and seafood outlets at Rockanoor

We loved the vibrancy of independent shops and cafes in the Old Town, the mixture of fishing heritage and culture and seaside. Freshly made pizzas created and served with love at Monellis not to be missed.

Lovely seaside town for a day.
Lovely seaside town for a day. But one more day to do The Battle Abbey which is 17 mins train ride and very easy. A few nice restaurants like the Thai in the book shop, Ladle was fantastic and so was the Porters Sunday roast (the veg roast option was delicious). The contemporary art museum had two very good exhibitions, and the shipwreck museum plus the fisherman’s museum were nice to walk through. The local history house is very nice and worth spending 15-30 mins. The book shop (the hare and hawthorn) is lovely.
I have nothing but good words to say. The house is BEAUTIFUL, like something out of a Wes Anderson film. Spotlessly clean and insane attention to detail.
The host Vincent, where do I begin. He's absolutely charming, sweet and caring. He made sure our bedding and our toiletries were all nice and neat, his cooking is delicious. He's made such an effort with this hotel in every way, it's as if he's your favourite french uncle from Hastings. We really enjoyed our stay here and even more so with Vincent's company.
Brilliant position. Short cut to main road and everything. No need to use the car. Be prepared for stairs in the house, it is 3 storey after all. You want for nothing, washer/dryer is so inclined, dishwasher, best equipped cutlery drawer ever. There is a welcome pack which is a lovely touch. Comfy beds. Lovely views from first floor lounge and master bedroom. Hastings is built on hills so get those legs working. We adore Hastings and this property helped us rediscover it even more.
Great location in a warm sunny room with lovely views - love the Old Town and St Leonards... quirky shops, winding alleyways, fishermans huts and smoking houses, art galleries & a wonderful cinema and event place in St Leonards.. Oh and the best pubs around..with an outstanding choice of free live music..way way better than cliquey Brighton.
Hastings has a old school charm and history which is really unique.
We'll be back...
The hotel is in a good location opposite the pier and next to the White Rock Theatre. It is a handsome building, at least from the outside. Our room had a sea view. There is a terrace overlooking the sea and a bar open until midnight. The food is good. The members of staff are particularly friendly and helpful. Unusually for Hastings, there is a car park and although spaces are limited we always found a place.
A lovely large spacious light and airy room in a gorgeous old building. Full of charm, character and original features. Building and room very clean (and smelt lovely). We wanted for nothing. Very convenient central location. Beats the chain hotel I used to stay in whilst in Hastings hands down, and much better value for money. Didn't really miss breakfast on-site as so many options so close by. We will be back!!
Bonkers but fun place to stay, great view of Hastings and of the sea. The 1970's Retro vibe is inspired. The room itself is a little odd but the attention paid to the decor makes up for everything. Great location - a stone's throw from Hastings Old Town, but still very quiet. Lovely to have breakfast outside in the sun while looking at the sea.
Hotel is literally on the beach front which was really nice. Staff were really nice. House keeping was fabulous. That lady is lovely. Was offered fresh towels everyday. Town centre is like a 5 minute walk away. Hotel was really quiet ans peaceful. Had fridge in room which was very nice. I enjoyed my stay there. Staff were lovely.
An absolutely delightful hotel facing the Hastings Sea Front with convenient access to Hastings Town Centre. Excellent service and support and a beautiful freshly prepared breakfast. I could not have asked for more. I especially enjoyed the comfy bed and walk-in shower! Highly Recommend!
Comfortable room, good service, friendly staff, Sarah explained all the details regarding the hotel and the room clearly and in full.
Overall a very enjoyable stay and I will certainly book there again the next time I'm in Hastings.
Great hotel, fantastic location and staff couldn't be nicer. Lovely big room, food friendly we really enjoyed staying in this hotel full of character. Easy walking distance to Hastings. We will be back for sure!
Definitely best hotel i have ever stayed in Hastings. Perfect location, wonderful sea views, nice furnishings, kind staff. I left a plug in the hotel and they are really helpful to post it to me!
This sweet little place is in the perfect location in Hastings-- on the elegant High Street, steps from all of the cafes and antique shops of George Street, in the heart of Old Town.
Lovely stay in Hastings. Good hotel for family stay. Nice breakfast area with lounge area, kids enjoyed sitting after they’d eaten breakfast, whilst adults chatted and finished.
On the beach. View. The hotel staff were helpful in addressing some of the issues with our first room and arranged for us to move to a different room for a second night's stay
Clean, comfortable, stylish, and with everything I needed for a nice overnight stay in Hastings. Staff were friendly and informative, and I didn't lack for anything.
This a friendly hotel. Breakfast is excellent. There is a bar with comfortable seating. It is on a good bus route. There are many buses into St Leonards or Hastings.
No 46 has very comfortable rooms, clean and welcoming. We have stayed there 3 times now and when visiting Hastings l always check if no 46 is available
