Everything about The Hotel Miramar was excellent. Easy access to Bournemouth town centre. We had a lovely sea view which although we paid a small amount more for was worth doing. We will definitely book that hotel again..
No dislikes everything was perfect.
the hotel heating was far to hot and we could not sleep.
- Close to beach and city centre - Helpful staff - Clean room with a homely feel
- No bath in room - Requested a sea view room then received a phone call a few hours later asking for an extra £5 for the privilege, this came across as a bit of a cheap tactic to earn a few extra pounds.
The noisiest thing we have in the country is the occasional cow mooing....but I slept like a log as there was no outside noise at all. I would visit again!
It was perfect on a cold wet November Night Hotel warm and cosy
The fact no indoor or outdoor swimming pool.
We loved the balcony with it's wonderful view. The bed was comfortable and room nicely furnished.
The food lets the hotel down with tinned potatoes on the plate. The fish was lovely but the whole meal seemed more suited to an older person's palate as did much if the menu. For such a nice hotel I felt the food lagged behind
the location is perfect for any one who visit Bournemouth, very close to everything that you would want.
This hotels policy is to put outside clients first before their residents on arrival I had to wait until 3 00 to have my room where it said that on a Saturday you may have it at 2 00 also I requested to book a table for Sunday dinner when I was told it was fully booked I asked why was this and the answer I got was it was very popular with out side people I thought this was very poor as I would have thought being a resident I would have had priority there is nothing on there web site explaining that if you wish to want to book for Sunday lunch then book early as outside public will be booking tables, this hotel is also very noisy with banging doors as most of them are poorly fitted also windows rattle noisily and the hotel is very hot hence having to have windows open most of the time, there is no way that this hotel justifies a four star rating maybe for people wishing to have Sunday lunch but definitely not for its residents, also the hotel management somewhat smug.
lift wasnt working...long walk to room upstairs with bags.no help offered.room small and soooo hot ...breakfast not its usual standard.been staying here for 20 odd years...will be my last time.have they changed hands?
Comfy beds Exquisite food. Polite and helpful staff
Everything, the staff were friendly and welcoming all of the time, they could not make your stay more pleasant, nothing was a problem for them, they just did it. The food was always hot and quickly served and the menu varied
No complaints at all
We were shown to our room and our bag was carried for us. Nice areas to relax with a drink or afternoon tea with a pianist. Felt very traditional but homely. Room was large, comfortable and clean. Great seaside views and gardens.
The fantastic view fron room 105. James from the moment we got out of the car his politeness and helpfulness was outstanding. All staff were very helpful. The decor and cleanliness could not be faulted.
The pillows were a little hard. When asked if we'd like tea/coffee brought to the room in the morning, we asked for tea for 2. We received tea for 1. At breakfast I asked for poached egg, the waitress asked if I'd like 2 to which I said yes, sadly only 1 arrived. We asked for directions to the BIC unfortunately we were told to turn left outside the hotel when it should have been right. Partly our fault for not doing our research prior to arriving. 3 very little things which could have been avoided by the members of staff.
Really good staff, from reception through to dining and bar service. It's a great location and the hotel has a really appealing aspect to it, perhaps from an old fashioned point of view, but good service and courtesy go a long way in my estimation.
The bedroom was too hot. I think the unseasonable weather might have affected the temperature controls
The rooms in the hotel are very comfortable, and the hotel is in a great location.
The staff at the hotel weren't the best, waited a long time to be served despite having several staff on duty.
The bed was luxurious; all staff were very friendly, I could have breakfast in my room, they ordered a newspaper for me, the garden was beautiful, the seaview was fantastic, it was a perfect location, just don' t tell everyone!
The door was a little bit stiff, the bath was a bit small and it was a little bit hot during the night.
No spa facilities
The staff were friendly and very efficient. Good size room. Great toiletries.
Plumbing really noisy, it woke me up at around 6-30am and I guess was when other guests were showering as it was on and off for several hours for around 5 - 10 minutes each time. The view was of the side of another building which was a shame.
Nothing to dislike - all good.
Service from staff was top notch. A classy looking place in a great location. Nice grounds to relax in and great off road parking.
Dinner package was overpriced. Air conditioning in the rooms would be a good improvement.
Hotel was beautiful inside and out especially the garden in the back & the lobby looked very classy, also all staff were very helpful and respectful
The amount of breakfast provided, it's like they attempt to make you starve so that you have to pay for an extra meal also the fact that I payed for a day stay but I had to check out at the time provided by them and not of my choice on the day of check out.
Great location and lovely views. We stayed there as I was running The Bournemouth marathon and the location was perfect. The finish line was just at the bottom of the road. Would definetaly stay here again!
Lack of fresh fruit at breakfast due to medication unable to eat grapefruit so therefore the choice was very limited
Staff were very polite and helpful. Food excellent and service in the dining room good. Lovely comfortable bed and very clean room. Good information about Bournemouth and its facilities.
Very hilly location and therefore extremely tiring. No information about the bus service.
Pleasant well trained a helpful staff, very pleasant surroundings, lovely location close to beach, shops, entertainment.
Some noisy wedding guests, who shouted and laughed out in the car park until nearly 4oclock in the morning
