The menu for dinner was excellent and the meals were really good. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location was good for the countyside and close to local towns for shopping. It was close to where I needed to be for work. There was ample car parking and meals and drinks were reasonably priced. The bathroom could have been cleaner. The road noise was not too bad because it was not that busy a road but double glazing would reduce this even if it was just secondary glazing. The channels on the TV were not all viewable and could be better.

Very well decorated and comfortable general areas. We were made very welcome. Stayed for three nights and ate in on all three - twice from the bar menu and once from the restaurant menu. The food was excellent on all counts. Nothing we didn't like but our room was looking a little tired and the bathroom would do with a makeover, particularly the shower. However, the room and facicilities were spotless.

Very accomodating staff. Seemed like a nice family type atmosphere. They were very accomodating about storing my bicycle for me and providing a key for our late return from the pick up at V Festival. Its extremely handy for anyone going to the Festival. Clean and good English Breakfast. The Continenetal breakfast was a bit ordinary with slightly soggy croissants. The croissants!

Good efficient service from attentive staff. The restraunt is expensive for average food. The bathroom is in serious need of modernising as the shower holder was broke which meant the water dropped on to the taps below instead of being projected outwards.

The small garden is a display feature with a Grand old tree at the back of the premises and a relatively large & well presented car park. It is an old house with excellent presentation of the public rooms, but the accommodation is in need of some attention/repair in places. The stairway is rather narrow for a wide person carrying a suitcase.
