Score from 9 reviews Exceptional
Good sized room, comfortable bed
1)Breakfast was not ready at 7.00am 2)Food expensive and limited choice of bar food
There was no conditioner in the bathroom and they didn't have any ? When I asked where the nearest shop was they found one tiny bottle ! Also in health club , no shampoo or conditioner
Gorgeous grounds Historic buildings with style Huge, comfortable, quiet room Delicious breakfast in divine surroundings
Room a long way from front door.
The staff, the location and the grounds were all perfect.
I was staying with a group of friends who were in other rooms there were a couple of bathroom doors that would stick.
Great location and great staff. And Toby the Dobermann was awesome.
Wifi was available from most places.
Large and comfortable room with huge 4 poster bed. Traditional furniture in keeping with the building. Beautiful grounds and staff could not have been more professional and obliging! Plenty communal areas for a large party. Just fab!
Superb garden and excellent large room.
Disappointing table d'hote dinner menu. All main courses had the same plate of vegetables regardless of whether they match the dish overall.
Wonderful location for the wedding Excellent wedding and reception The grounds are exceptional
wifi not available in room rooms poor quality for cost breakfast poor quality for cost
Hotel very atmospheric, beautiful grounds. Staff very attentive even though large wedding party there at same time. Food very good - 2 and 3 course deals good value for money. Breakfasts excellent.
The bathroom was a little tired, needed sprucing up and the mattress a bit lumpy.
There are very few hotels with such a magical air of opulence. The food was wonderful too.
If one accepts that nowhere is perfect, then Miskin Manor could be improved yet further with a new mattress and an upgraded bathroom. But these are NOT criticisms.
good setting, good staff, very nice rooms
wine by the glass is very very over priced, i'm a landlord and i know what it costs to get in!
Stayed over mid-week and upgraded to a 4-poster room; the finishing touches were missing from my expectations of staying at similar venues. Cheap toilet paper, plastic bottled water, cheap coffee making facilities, cheap tv. Would not stay again; plenty of better alternatives in South Wales.
Location, staff and atmosphere
had to leave
Lovely rooms. Enjoyed the leisure club
Bar taken over by wedding guests so only place to eat lunch was in our room. Could have been more choice for breakfast
The size and comfort of the room.
Had no hot water to wash with - as we stayed only one night did not pursue mater with staff. We also had problems with drafty windows and no tv both of which we very quickly remedied by a very helpful member of staff. Had to go into the reception area to make use of the Wi-Fi free facility.
ideally located for my purpose; quality of food good
My arrival was a surprise as the booking had not been forwarded by booking.com. Staff a little cold. On returning to the hotel at the end of the day was surprised to find that the chambermaid had left my room unlocked
I like everything about the hotel and can't wait to go back in February thank you
Awful bed and v uncomfortable Damp room and cupboards Poor food and very expensive Fly and wasp in room Very dated room décor Price - poor value for money Room location poor Not worthy of 4 stars
Beautiful house and decked out in Christmas finery very tastefully. A luxurious break with our daughters before going back to work.
The wi-fi was very poor - seems to be a subject of comment in other guest reviews too.
It's a very nice place. Lots of atmosphere. I suspect it is stunning during the Summer. I went in late November.
The dining room furniture. Reminded me of metal patio furniture.
Spectacular place with loads of character in a lovely setting. A real find. Great food and service.
The manor is lovely, the staff attentive and the food outstanding. It was the ideal place to relax and recharge. I highly recommend visitors to allow time to enjoy the facilities
Very relaxing and good food
Beautiful hotel and gardens, very helpful staff. Really good dinner. Everything needed for a lovely relaxing stay.
Having to pay £50 for our dog and having to stay in an annexe room because we had the dog.
