The position in the countryside and the well tended gardens and open spaces. A very pleasant building and obliging staff. There was no conference being held whilst I was there, so only a few residents. I wonder if the same ambience would be there when more accomodation is taken

The grounds and entrance were excellent - staff were smart and friendly and the costs were reasonable. It had a nice quiet relaxing atmosphere.

Bedrooms were far too small - the bed was no more than a large single - bathroom was in need of a facelift and very small area to hang clothes. Room was also too hot.

Beautiful setting in a lovely village. Breakfast was good but could have been better! Eggs and bacon very dried out and hard.

The room we were put in was very small as was the bed! Made for petite people not men 6ft 4! Our room seemed to be geared for one! We were bought extra towel, mug etc. then realised we didn't have enough milk and tea! Asked at reception to get some on our way out to meet friends. Was told no problem by I have to say very polite staff. But they never bothered to do it!! Dissappointing really! Felt that it was because we had paid a secret deal rate.......

Too small bed, difficult to plug in charger etc set behind furniture, no bedside table on second side of bed Room really suitable for single occupant, ie for your courses etc.

As a charity volunteer I needed a stop over location between business and lecturing engagements, Missenden Abbey provided all that I needed in a good location supported by effective, polite and discreet staff. I see it as an excellent location and would recommend it for business conferences and meetings involving either a small or large group of participants. I will certainly stay there again when on business or leisure in the area.

I believe it would be both useful to guests and of commercial benefit to make available, free or otherwise, a booklet on the history of the Abbey and developments in recent years.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Food good. Room just a little grubby and tired. Could have done with bedside tables but overall will use again when we are on business.

Very friendly welcome,and excellent service and food throughout.Excellent location and facilities.Very professional attitudes by all members of staff.Certainly we'll look forward to staying again sometime in the future!

Told it would be brought to our rooms and we would have to book if we wanted a meal We were looking forward to treating ourselves to a dining experience in the abbey. Disappointed and went to Thai restaurant instead in the High Street Breakfast: No one to greet, very basic fare

Nice staff, breakfast was very nice, easy to park i used the over flow parking much easier, room had what I need. If you have two wifi devices ie phone and iPad ask for to codes at reception

Shower was very poor, walls to next room were painfully thin. I was talking to my wife on the phone at 9.00pm when I arrived and the guy was banging on the wall the next morning he got up and I could hear him a clear as a bell

The setting is absolutely beautiful, as are the facilities and services. The staff were first class.

I travel regularly and can adapt to just about any bed. The bed in our room was one of the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on. It could be the main factor in whether we would stay there again.

Nd The shower was weak and not hot enough. The restaurant was closed most evenings and didn't have tables for one. I nev er got decaf tea in my room. The carpet wasn't vacuumed in the 5 days I stayed. I didn't get a clean glass every day in my room. (In fact it was plastic and it wasn't changed.) They didn't put the ironing board away. Not enough pillows. Decor was old and dated. Was.t worth even the cheap rate that I got. The car parking wasn't sign posted well enough. I had to walk too far with my bags to reception from the car park. The carpatk wasn't tarmac. The restaurant got the wrong menu out on the day/ could have been the reception who gave me the wrong one. The shower was broken the first day and I had to run down the corridor in a towel after using another rooms bathroom. L in all, not impressed with the quality of my stay. Oh yes, and, I never got a cooked breakfast because it didn't open until 7:30 and I had to leave at 7:15. The grab bag sometimes had a savory pastry. The pastry was never hot. It was fridge cold. One day I got 4 cereal bsrs, 2 brownies, an apple and an orange and a muffin. A cheese and ham sandwich would have been better instead of a cold pastry. Reception were confused whether I was vegetarian or not.
