My first impression of the hotel was how friendly and helpful the staff were. The rooms were superb and the location of the hotel was fantastic. I would have liked some english breakfast tea as one of the choices in the hot drink selection provided in the room. The use of an espresso machine is a wonderful facility but not being a coffee drinker I did not avail of it. |

I loved the controversial design elements. Very in your face colours for short stays - not great for a longer period. Some of the furniture in the bedrooms was not the most functional. Liked the novelty of sliding panels, but no great drawer space. |

yes, Iam a 50 year old woman and requested a bath .We had been travelling since 5 a.m that morning and was so lookimg forward to a good soak.I was told that there were only suites available with a bath. I was disappointed and could nt find an alternative hotel so late that evening.I felt more of an effort could have been made in a 5 star hotel. |

The decor was amazing, the room had everything you could want (the free mini-bar was a nice touch). The beds were super comfy, we had a free library of movies to watch, the shower was huuuge (and had a seat in it!) and the audio from the TV fed into the bathroom (so if you nip to the loo during The X Factor you don't miss a thing....). All in all we loved our stay, it was perfect! Breakfast was a little confusing - it wasn't particularly clear what guests from the hotel were to do (as anyone can come in off the street to the restaurant for breakfast) - we were given a menu with prices on it, but as we'd already paid for breakfast as part of our room charge we weren't entirely sure if we would have to pay extra for food from the kitchen or not. And we also were'nt told where the buffet was (hidden from our table) so for the first 5 minutes or so we were very confused! But when the food did arrive it was lovely! |

The staff were helpful and welcoming, the room was very smart and quiet - despite the wooden flooring. The bathroom sparkling and efficient. The attention to detail was great, we really enjoyed the in-room coffee machine, with choice of cups and appreciated the fresh milk provided in the minibar free of charge. The restaurant was very good - fine food and great service, if a little pricey. All in all, we would be happy to stay here again. |

The design of the hotel was really modern but still comfortable. When we arrived I was not expecting to have £100 per night deducted from my bank account, especially since we had already paid for it in full. Fine if you have a credit card as you dont notice the money leaving your a/c (its refunded when you check out) but if you dont have a credit card (I dont) then they ask for a debit card which means that you are money short in your account. If this had been mentioned prior to booking then maybe I would have reconsidered staying there. Its ok if they had just taken the card details but to acutally take the money was unexpected and quite unfair to say that we had already paid for the room etc. There was no warning of this and it was lucky that I had plenty of funds in the account! |

I enjoyed the whole ambiance of the hotel, the outrageous colour schemes and funky furniture. The breakfast menu was a little disappointing for such a high quality hotel |

Staff friendly, helpful and efficient. The colourful, bright, exciting interior designs, so much to alert the senses. Bathrooms filled with delights particularly the bathrobes. The Nespresso machine a real treat. Would definitely re visit and recommend. Thank you Missoni ! |

The staff were excellent - attentive, friendly and personable. The room was extremely comfortable - the bathroom shower was superb! The 'full' Scottish breakfast was disappointing. |

The Hotel staff are wonderful; couldn't be more helpful ( Dale, thankyou). The beds are to die for - so comfortable. The position was perfect. The free drinks in the mini bar - nice touch. Loved the design. The breakfast was a bit disorganised. |

Staff was extremely helpful, for being a high-end hotel, they were not pretentious at all. Great location, cool design and feel and great bar (Basilito was excellent). Though it was expensive, it was worth the splurge and reasonable compared to other high end hotels in Europe. The bed was very hard. Other reviews say it was comfortable, so this very much could just be personal preference. |

The hotel has many design features that are interesting and a little different. It is very conveniently located for exploring Edinburgh and attending the festivals. |
