Hotel Missoni

I particularly liked the free in-room movies which were a godsend when it was pouring with rain outside and the nicely sized Bang & Olufsen TV gave excellent viewing. The free mini-bar was really good although it could have done with a more stock. The espresso machine was neat but as a tea drinker I didn't really appreciate the benefit of it but stil a nice to have. The bathroom and shower were fantastic with high quality bathrobes and towels, and a fancy shower head that was recessed into the ceiling. I don't like baths so not having one was fine for me. The hotel position was also very good, just a few minutes walk from the Castle and less than 10 minutes walk to Princess Street and the shopping area.

There isn't much space for storage and we barely had enough space to unpack just our clothes for a two night stay. If you were staying more than a couple of nights you would need to leave some of your clothes in your suitcase.

The whole expereience was wonderful - I will certainly stay again and would recommend to anybody

Hot water would have been nice.... To wash in. Mind you if I was from Glasgow that would not be a problem

Ideal location. The room was immaculate with some nice extras. Staff were friendly and helpful.

You felt like you were a special guest when I mentioned it was my birthday on the booking. There was a cake in the room and guest services were very good. The room had special features that were unique to the hotel. Great location.

Walls not as sound-proofed as they should be

great position at the heart of the old town with good eating and drinking all around. Bow bar and Witchery etc. Rooms and design themes were well executed great bar and reception. Good and well intentioned front of house staff.

Hotel was very central and staff friendly

The first room we got was too small and very warm air con was not working so had to get another room which was brilliant.

I loved the controversial design elements. Very in your face colours for short stays - not great for a longer period.

Some of the furniture in the bedrooms was not the most functional. Liked the novelty of sliding panels, but no great drawer space.

Attention to detail, throughout the hotel

yes, Iam a 50 year old woman and requested a bath .We had been travelling since 5 a.m that morning and was so lookimg forward to a good soak.I was told that there were only suites available with a bath. I was disappointed and could nt find an alternative hotel so late that evening.I felt more of an effort could have been made in a 5 star hotel.
