The venue could really sell itself by having promotional material for guests to take away. I overheard other guests asking for such and being told there were none although some new ones were being designed and printed.
One, just one mind, of the members of staff needs to work a little on his social skills! (Bearing in mind everyone else was fabulous he probably stood out a little more.)
The Ribble Valley is a hidden gem, and whilst in some ways it would be nice for it to remain a secret, the hotel are missing a trick in not promoting some of the things to do and places to go in the area via leaflets on the front desk.
As we were married here the hotel holds a special place in our hearts and didn't disappoint as the venue of choice for an anniversary treat. The overwhelming majority of staff are fantastic, very friendly and helpful. The location is stunning, but then I am a Ribble Valley native so am biased! I love the mix of old and new in the venue. The food is fantastic, we've never had a bad meal. The full breakfast in particular is well presented, not greasy and a real treat. Rooms are great, whether you go for an individual suite or a standard, they meet expectation and are spotlessly clean.
