Its close location to town.,
Health suite was very disappointing
Hair in the toilet, shower, bath, bathroom floor. Very expensive - £20 to park, breakfast additional too. Not good value for money. Would have preferred a Premier Inn
location staff breakfast
cost lack of free wifi
Right on the doorstep of the University!
WIFI. I was told at reception there was free wifi for Hilton Honors members......when I phoned later for access, I was told it was only for Gold or above. Hilton just lost another customer!
large room with very comfortable bed and lovely view of the Cam. Being in the centre of town is extremely convenient. Very friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Truly excellent breakfast one of the best we have had in British hotels - well done! It was perfect for an overnighter and would be equally so for a longer stay.
Health club needs a bit of refurbishment - looks a bit shabby, and late arrival of staff on Sunday morning meant the sauna and steam room were not at full pitch when we went down for a pre-breakfast swim. A function (?) on Saturday evening meant very loud music but it did stop on the dot of midnight - which was just about acceptable, as we had been out all evening and so missed most of it!
It was quiet
The cost was crazy and the whole fittings and ambience feel like a lack of investment has been a problem for years. I stay in lots of Hiltons and you need to get a grip of this one
Friendly, efficient staff, comfortable rooms, good breakfast, useful location for centre of Cambridge and colleges.
Our room was on the first floor overlooking the entrance to the carpark, unfortunately we were woken at 5.30 am by a delivery truck, followed by cars coming and going, wheeled suitcases and then dustbin men at 7.30am. Mentioned our disturbed night to the receptionist who refunded our carpark charge however, We would much rather enjoyed our stay and had a good night's sleep. Would probably return as a nice hotel but would be more specific about the location of our room.
Noisy parties that prevent clients from sleeping should be banned, or clients should be given the choice beforehand to book elsewhere. This is not what you expect from a hotel of that category (and price)
Location & Staff
Paying for Wifi & Parking Payment very expensive
The shower was awful, the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel. King room was far from it, very small. Bathroom tiny and not too clean. One receptionist, we waited 20 minutes to check out because of a guest complaining about noise.
Great location and perfect for a week-end break to attend a concert at the Corn Exchange.
The weather..... it rained and it rained so we couldn't enjoy the lovely garden by the river.
Health club, large comfortable room and nice restaurant (MPW). Location was nice
Charging extra for breakfast at £12 is expensive. Did not feel the staff went out of their way to accommodate. Television options were poor. The price provided when booking through booking.com is not always the same as charged during the stay, which is not transparent!
Great Hotel, Best in Cambridge.
Steakhouse Restaurant wasn't of the standard expected.
The room was large and comfortable, with a view of the river. We were celebrating our anniversary, and were given a huge plate of fruit as well as other goodies and a card. This was a nice touch. My husband also loved the warm cookies guests are given when they check in.
Only staying one night!
Near to city center
Request for room facing the river but not given, although it is not busy period.
The location was perfect and the staff friendly and helpful.
The internet was very poor in our room. The staff said it should work...but it didn't. Frustrating as we still paid for it.
Location excellent, had a gym, friendly staff and room was clean, spacious and cool
Lift out of order but no sign
Brilliant location - beautiful view of River Cam
Hotel very tired - rooms stuffy and not particularly clean. Paid wifi is a thing of the past and annoys me when paying such a high room price
the scene from the balcony is beautiful. the location of the hotel is great and easy to find. Also, the bed is big and comfortable.
if the wifi is free, it will be much better.
Location Room Size Cleanliness of room, but balcony covered in thick green algae - not very welcoming! The Cookie!
Expensive Restaurant Very Expensive WiFi (£15 for 24 Hours) and no WiFi available in communal areas (reception/ brekfast room etc) Both lifts out of order and no offer to help with luggage Balcony covered in thick green algae - not very welcoming! Curtains only cover half the window - very strange!
Extremely convenient for the town centre, large car park and very good leisure facilities
Quite expensive but not surprising with such a prime location in an area where space is at a premium. Difficult to find first time. Sat nav tries to take you down inaccessible lanes (ie Laundress Lane) and also up Silver Street which is closed to all but authorised traffic by the river. Access is only possible via Trumpington Street and Mill Lane.
Great location. Comfortable room and a hearty breakfast
£15 per day for wifi. Has now put me off staying at any Hilton hotel in the future.
Lovely location close to city
Not much to do for children and it was very very hot in the bedroom
