The friendliness of staff when we checked in and in the restaurant/bar made us feel very welcome also. Being able to have breakfast up to 11am on Sunday was a real treat as well. The room itself was excellent, as well as the surroundings and location. O asking for out teabags to be replenished we ended up with room service and were charged for it (although on explaining the receptionist did remove this from our bill). However, had I actually ordered room service I would have not been impressed :the man who brought it to the room was very surly and impolite.

Comfortable, helpful staff, I liked and took advantage of the pool and sauna. I had a very good evening meal Decor and colour scheme of lounge despite Hilton's enviromnental claims I think the sheets and towels were changed during our stay. With a 3 day stay this is unnecessary and environmentally wasteful.

Location was very good very close to centre of cambridge. Convenient for shopping. We were told on arrival that our booking excluded breakfast and that breakfast would be extra. I rechecked this on booking confirmation on return home and found booking included breakfast. Dont know where problem arose but I feel cost paid was too expensive for room only basis.

Perfect location, large room with lovely view of the river, very close to all the colleges and the Fitzwilliam Museum, very friendly and helpful reception staff, very comfortable bar, good restaurant. In my review for the hotel itself, immediately after our stay, I said all was perfect except the music in the restaurant which was irritating Europop. However, time has passed, and one of the managers replied to say the music is changed every month. In any case, that wouldn't stop us staying there again, we really enjoyed it. But that's the only reason it doesn't get 10/10 above.

The proximity to the main features of Cambridge and the facilities available. The staff sometimes had difficulty understanding me, though on the whole they were all very attentive. We had one disappointing moment when the waiter in the bar lounge didn't clean the table after the previous quests and was not happy when we asked him to. He then swept the food crumbs onto the floor at our feet and didn't appear to understand that sitting in a dirty area was not pleasant.

Our room with a king size bed was very comfortable, the room was larger than we expected and everything was clean. Though it was not in the heart of the city center, the walking distance was fair and there was a boat trip spot right next to the hotel which was convinient. Check in time was a bit late(3pm in our case)

All the staff - from jan the doorman , all reception staff, breakfast and evening meal staff,bar staff ,housekeeping where great. Everyone was extremely friendly and made our stay a brilliant one. We will be back to cambridge and stay here again.

We loved the proximity of the hotel to the sights and shopping. Also, we thought the breakfast room had a stunning view of the river. The room was comforatble and clean with all of the facilities that we required. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. We had trouble finding the pool from inside the hotel.
