location was fantastic and staff were great

Hotel was dated, room was boiling hot with no air con, sauna wasn't working, no steam in steam room and stank, swimming pool had kids swimming lessons which took up the pool. the list unfortunately goes on.

Staff were friendly, but then they should be for the cost!

Paid 255 per night plus 20pp for breakfast: Rooms were small for that cost I had to pay £18.00 per night for hotel parking despite staying the hotel!!!! The drinks were over priced The balcony was tiny and unable to put a chair on it

Coldness of the staff. Not very friendly. The food was cold and asked to leave restaurant too quickly after meal.

Breakfast - staff were efficient and yet there was a calm, unhurried atmosphere.

Although we had an expensive king size room with river view, the room itself did not feel particularly special. It looked a bit tired and grubby. Very surprised that there were charges for wi fi and for disabled parking. All in all, a disappointing experience.

Breakfast was great,thanks. Reception staff very friendly. Would have liked gym if I had more time. Location and view of river very nice. Cookies at reception a nice touch.

Room a little cramped and drab. Wifi should be included in price. But we got good value with three devices in two rooms for one £15.

Being incorrectly charged £20 on top of my initial booking. Luckily this was refunded. I was lucky enough to spot this in the first place otherwise I would've been ripped off.

Cost, had to share with collegue as single double room was cost prohibative. Couldn't open the window fully.

Tom the Barman was very good at his job, frankly wasted behind a bar but improved the experience for us.

Foyer/Bar design. Every time the main door opens an inrush of cold air shoots through the bar area, not good over the coffee and brandy! Breakfast was a poor experience for us, why have piped music at meals? The breakfast format was unclear, haphazard and could be improved easily if the staff were given some basic training.

Felt tired Shower wasn't very good and staff didn't seem to do anything when we reported it. Staff were courteous but I've seen a lot better, e.g. they got our Tea/Coffee order wrong at breakfast both mornings - they put it right straight away but I'd rather they just got it right!
